Hello there. I'm an artist from Belarus, but now I live and study in Poland.
I'm covering in my tweets the situation which is going on now in slovian countries (Belarus, Ukraine, Russia) in details. I send all warmth and support to my Ukrainian brothers and sisters💙💛
Now about me: the EU is going to suspend the issuance of visas in my country. I did not intend to return to Belarus because of political attitudes.
After 2020 I don't see any sense to live there, everything I wanted at the rallies has faded into oblivion.
I'll be very glad if you live in Poland and can help me with advice how to stay here. Because I was planning to work and get a work visa, but I don't know if I can do it. I am in my last semester of university.
I have a degree in graphics. I'm illustrator and designer. My visa is until September 2022.

About my plans: I like Poland, I've been here for 3 years and I feel the closeness of Polish people. But I intend to go back to Belarus as soon as Lukashenko's dictatorial rule is over and when Putin removes his dirty hands from Ukraine.
I have already arranged for my friend from Ukraine to take her on a tour of FREEDOM BELARUS 💪🏻

Тоже хотел бы, да слишком много бросать здесь и недостаточно причин для въезда в Польшу.

honestly my mom and actually i we are shure that putin wants to bring back the soviet union so lets hope he fails or lukaschenko wakes up and realizes that he might become the puppet himself.

He has been a puppet for a long time. And now he continues to be that + besides, he's just a complete dictator. I just want them (Putin, Lukashenko) to get away from our countries.

He maintains his "supposed" power by any means necessary. Thousands have been beaten on his orders and the loud voices of millions have been ignored by him. There are about 1k political prisoners in Belarus. Do you know what the population of Belarus itself is? 10mln. These people were really put away for years for their political views.
In general, the victims (fines, dismissals etc) are more than 100k

He is funding his army. Personal support that sells out. He pays huge sums of money to the "OMON" (the police, who in this situation only do what they do to suppress protests). To keep it loyal to himself. Compared to ordinary people, this organisation makes HUGE money in Belarus. From 2k dollars. For Belarus it is a lot of money

sounds like a lot. but would he go after the rich like the german government did? to explain: the german fleet build-up prior to WWI and WWII was largely financed by a tax on champaign and champaing like drinks.

We had an unemployment tax for a while. If you couldn't find a job, the government would take money from you. I think it's gone now. But to me it's nonsense to take money because one doesn't work!

If you can get a job that can sponsor you, you can migrate your Visa from a student to a work visa. Then you just need to research the 'permanent residency path' for your country. Normally it's Work/live here 5+ years and you can apply.

Usually such visa changes require me to come to my country directly. And I wouldn't want that in the near future...

Most countries support in place Visa applications. At least those I've been in (Netherlands & UK) especially if you're in the country presently on a 'pre-work' visa like a student Visa.
The UK had a Visa path of Student -> Tier 2 Work permit (so long as you get a sponsor 6 months before your student visa expired)
Netherlands just cares about sponsorship and any present temp visa(like student) is a valid start point for such a change. As long as you have a legal/current permit they don't care about you changing it.

So I suggest getting in touch with an advisor, your Uni might even have such visa advisors on call.

Basically your employer sponsors you, contacts immegration office. And you just wait for the response(takes 1-2 months)
If they agree, you are issued a work permit and a temp residence card (which allows you to start your work) so long as your employer keeps you employed you can keep renewing the card.
