so... uhm... yeah... russian artists are not just about to be cut off from 98+% of the work they can do, they are about to be cut off from 100% of the work they can do because people from outside will be unable to pay them once SWIFT closes, barring weird shenanigans and people inside will be unable to pay them period.
People informed me that "UnionPay" still works. Make of that what you will, but very few outlets accept it.
So. What can you do to live without that? First of all why do you need a credit card? To buy stuff online. Unless you live in USA that is the only thing you ever do with credit cards... okay, that and vending machines.
Forget games unless you like freeware stuff which for many like me is an "acquired taste" that tastes like nostalgia.
3DStudio and Autocad and photoshop and clip studio are now a no-go and so are many other software solutions. Blender, GIMP and Kryta will become the new 3d-modeling and drawing stuff you will use.

• Using cryptocurrencies is out of the question as it is actually harder than doing bank loops because you need to understand how the system works at a technical level to know what to do and how to do it without getting your savings destroyed or getting scammed. Do you know what currency to choose? Spoiler: if you said bitcoin or ethereum you already lost your savings. Do you know how to convert it to money that you can spend (without a credit card) without getting scammed? Or which services can accept these payments online? Do you know how cryptocurrency transactions work? I'm not gatekeeping, it's just that level of user-unfriendly.
• Donning the pirate hat but without onion and not getting scammed in 2022 is hard... but it's even hard with the "smell of onion around", which will get you better results or might destroy you completely in such a way that you will not recover thanks to many using that opportunity to load what you seek with ransomware. And unless you know how software works and you lose your time checking what you just downloaded and what it should look like vs what you are seeing without running the software you are checking... i do not recommend donning said pirate hat. Once again checking pirated software for malware by running a virus scanner on it might as well be how you get the ransomware into your system, either because that is all it needs to get executed (i've seen some clever 💩) or because the virus scanner says it's safe when it is not. Once again i'm not gatekeeping, it's just that level of user-unfriendly.
In both these cases there literally is zero safety net, and learning without knowing what you are reading is frustrating at best.
So yeah your current best bet is to go open source with the link above and find ways to get paid without credit cards with direct bank transfers that do not use swift.
I might as well make an article about the chinese alternatives since chinese stuff never used SWIFT anyway. Because at this point stuff like Qiwi and Alipay to get paid and Alidropship to sell digital goods are starting to get appealing. 😅

But since he is the kind of man that hides his high heels instead of wearing them with pride, he will always be precluded from looking too far away.

At this point i do not know if the people moving this puppet got tired of his shenanigans and just decided to have him offed this way or if he tried to do this against their will.
And the fact he is (finally) getting all this backlash now, despite having done the same not even 8 years ago in ukraine again (with the annexation of crimea), and stirring trouble elsewhere too for the past 8 years... yeah.
But still the logic of it doesn't make sense. Why would you try to annex the entirety of Ukraine only to find yourself walled by 4 NATO countries, one of which a military friend of mine says has a twitchier trigger finger than even Trump in the form of Poland because we all know the Polish don't want repeats of WWI and WWII.
Also if the law passes that allows him to conscript protest prisoners for the war effort tells me that will not end well. I could see many of them just refusing to fight and become martyr's or actively disrupting the military further.
