Special notice:
Of all the species that should not be but tend to struggle to make a bigger presence among anthropomorphic/furry fandoms, the Red Panda.
A striking and adorable animal reds pandas, naturally found in China, and the Himalayas, this should be a shoe-in for one of the more popular species. And yet it was not until recently did Red Pandas have any overt representation in any mainstream entertainment. Tanya Keys, for "Mao-Mao: Heroes of Pure heart" is a Tanuki. The movie in question, in which a Red Panda features overtly, is "Turning Red". Regardless of what hubbub is being made of the movie, the main character a girl essentially hulks out into a giant red panda. "Giant" being the operative term as red pandas are actually only about the size of a Raccoon. This leading to one of the first misconceptions of the Red Panda, that hey are a species of Raccoon. That and their barber pole tail. It would make things so much easier if they were. But no.
Still Red Pandas make very appealing looking Anthro characters, similarly to Skunks (their variation should be covered at some point. Not all of the are black and white and decidedly OP walking chemical weapons), and some cats with impressive markings spots or stripes.
As it is, the majority of Anthro/furry Red Pandas have been female, typically Chinese in presentation. I can not say that eh Red panda is coming on strong like Rats. Rats at least had decades of pop culture, usually very little of it flattering, to build and boost their appeal and potential characters. Red Pandas have none such, and a PIXAR movie that DISNEY seems determined to bury on the side is not going to help much.
But Red Pandas do need attention. As much as any Chinese or otherwise Asian species would get.
So we return to Monke next?

I made a brother and sister set of were-red pandas though I do seem to draw the sister more frequently. Her name is Gi Ti, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/45707447/. I've been making her thinner and with increasingly smaller breasts.
I'm not a huge fan of red pandas with the dark brown under fur. I prefer the black as it just looks more natural and makes the other colors pop.
