Okay folks I'm stressing out over a nagging issue with Krita. First of all I am running Linux Mint. And the Version of Krita installed is 5.0.2. My Tablet is a brand new Wacom Intuos Pro. The problem I am having is when I hover my pen over my tablet (not touching the tablet at all) or lifting the pen off my tablet, Krita will spontaneously draw a dot or a line or spontaneously bring up the color palate or zoom in or out erratically. This problem was present on my old Wacom Intuos as well, but seems a bit worse on my new tablet. Now before you suggest a driver problem or replacing the nib on my pen, I have tried replicating this issue in GIMP and things work just fine over there. So I am at a bit of a loss here and I'm frustrated because I really like using Krita. But with this issue I'm having, its really killing my mojo to do art on Krita. So I really need some help and suggestions ATM. Or I may have to find another art program to do my drawings on.
Things I have done in attempt to solve this issue.
1. Unplug and replug the tablet
2. Play around with sensitivity in the tablet settings
3. Switch USB ports
4. In Krita > Settings >Tablet, I have unchecked "Use Mouse events for right- and middle-clicks
5. In Krita > Settings >Tablet, I have tried both checking and unchecking "Use tablet driver timestamps for brush speed"
6. In Krita > Settings >Table, I have clicked the "Restore Defaults" button
7. Uninstall and Reinstall Krita
So I'm not really sure what to do. I've tried just about everything I could think off and no dice. So I am very much open to suggestions to either solve this issue or suggestions on good Krita Alternatives that work on Linux.
