Started thinkin about how I sometimes see 2D artists get into doing 3D, and theeen eventually all they do is 3D.
Wonder if I have watchers who are disappointed I'm just uploading 3D stuff and not drawn stuff? I wouldn't be surpriced x3 I can't see the future, but for now I don't really see me completely switching to 3D happening. But yeah 3D kinda gives me a way to do sooomething when it comes to being creative, when drawing is being frustrating and not working out.
Those who've been following me for a long time know that I often dump a bunch of pics in a short-ish period of time, but then I don't upload a thing for next like half a year xd It's cos drawing is at times heccin frustrating to me, I'm too much of a perfectionist so when things just don't work I just gsdfgdfgjdfl die inside. But uh yeah, 3D stuff has kinda been giving me a way to do atleast sooomething furry art wise when drawing juuuust isn't working out.
Anyway uh yeah, what I'm trying to say is, is that I'll definitely be uploading drawn stuff when I get some done again x3 I don't plan on replacing my art with 3D.
Oh, and I don't upload all of my 3D stuff here (only the best/finished stuff), I don't wanna clog up my gallery, buuut yeah I got some stuff up on Twitter - https://twitter.com/JarfoxFurryside

Don't worry bout it. forcing yourself to do 2D is a sure way to cause burnout; Just do it when you feel like it.

Thanks man, yeah I'll be doing 2D at the usual rate, wondered if some think I only do 3D now haha~

I don't know about 3D -> 2D, but I'm surprised so few take advantage of the other way around for those that actually have the skill and means (or a 3D artist friend they can mooch off) to do so - having a 3D model as a reference of what you're trying to create in 2D has a lot of benefits, like being able to properly draw anatomy (assuming it's done correctly on the model itself.) especially in perspective shots, being able to use lighting to figure out where to draw shadows and dark areas (I do believe most modelling programs offer lighting now, right?) and consistency in clothing and accessories if drawing a ref sheet or multiple poses (like pants being at a certain height in one pose and slightly lower or higher in another when they're intended to be in the exact same position on both.) and I'm sure there are more benefits I can't think of at the moment.

Ei mua ainakaan haittaa jos päätät keskittyy 3D matskuun, parempi vaan tehä miten ite tuntuu parhaalt. Ja postaamas 3D työt näyttää kyl hyviltä, niitä haluis muutenkin nähdä lisää.
