3/4 Monsters Done! Been Productive
Hi everyone!
I've been super productive this week. 3/4 monsters are already finished. One monster, the 'vorvor', is for higher difficulties, and on the highest difficulty has some 'evil' game design. Vorvors are heavily based on like likes from the Zelda series, and are meant to be a highly dangerous enemy. There is a sfw exclusive monster to replace them, the clown. They're of the clown archetype in video games, meaning they can 'split' after being defeated. I want something for everyone, including for those that play the game 'just for the game.'
There is also the slug, which has 2 variants. They do 2 rarely seen fetishes, including a type of vore I basically 'invented.' I will need help with figuring out the name of it. Speaking of vore, this next update will have a considerable amount of it. The game is meant to have a large focus on vore anyway. (Though you can get less vore just by not upping your Taste stat.)
The 4th monster is a snek. All the animations are already done for them, though I think I might need to add a additional attack animation or two.
Once the new enemies are done, its just stuff like the food/cooking system to do. I really want the Flambe skill to make cooking useful in combat. It's what 'defines' the Taste stat, gameplay wise.
I fixed a bad bug involving the shield. The player character's hitbox was extending past it for some reason when facing a certain direction ... You'll be able to properly block in the new update. I also revamped the look of Foxfire completely. It looks pretty nice now; I just realized that magical attacks will need to be easily recognizable since the Soul stat will, in the future, let you do some abjuration with magical attacks. Enemies often use projectile and you need to know which attacks can be manipulated, and by which abilities.
No guarantees, but I'm hoping to finish up this update by the end of next month. If we're lucky the update could possibly even come by the end of this month.
Edit: Forgot to mention, but I did a small gameplay test of what I had of a dungeon, and it's very fun! Dungeons are special challenges because you typically won't find any save shrines or shops in there, so you'd best be prepared.
