Well Damn!

Looks like I'm going to be unemployed in a week or less as the company I work for is shutting down. The high fuel prices are mostly to blame. Sucks for me!
So I may be a little spotty here.
I was just notified Friday.... it's pretty shocking news.π

On a good note I've found a couple of good job interests so there is hope!
Yes the new job I've landed appears to be a much better job infact. The benefits are Much better as is the pay potential.π
Yes I would like to retire from this job I think as I hate job looking and the insecurities it brings.
It's very difficult loosing a job you've been so devoted to for so long, especially like this.
But the good news is I've got a couple of employer's looking at me right now so there is Hope.π
Ooh nice, good luck with it and may it turn out well
Apparently your good thoughts have worked as I have a couple of perspective employers looking at me this very moment!
It's just hard with stressing about the cost of everything going up and then have a company you've invested so much time and trust in to just close their doors and put you out on the street. It really hurts!
I'm glad you've got a couple of prospective jobs lined up. I hope one of them decides to hire you and that it'll be at least as good if not way better than your current/last one. And yeah, I know. I suppose, devil's advocate and all, if the whole company is shutting down, they really don't have much of a choice, but I know that doesn't make it any easier or less painful to bear. I just hope everything's gonna turn out okay for you.
Just need to finish the training process and get adjusted to the different hours.
11 am to 11 pm is an interesting shift.
It's a very hard time with the cost of everything like it is then to be kicked out on to the street because the company you work for can no longer make it. It's very disheartening.
On the bright side I have two potential employers looking at me right now so hopefully soon I will have something.
But the good news is I have a couple of employer's looking at me so I may be working again soon!
With the cost of everything on the rise this is not the time to be looking for work.
However on a good note I have a couple of companies looking at me so maybe things will turn around soon.
It really hurt after devoting so much time into this company...
But on a brighter note there are two other companies who are interested in me so maybe I'll find work again soon.
Awwwwww....you are always so incredibly kind to me, Thank you!
In fact I have gotten picked up by another company with better benefits and potentially more pay so I guess in the end things worked out better than anticipated!π
They'll never truly be able to compensate you for your existence, there's not enough gems in the world, nor chocolate mud cakes. But onwards and upwards!
Mmmm....... Chocolate Mud Cakes... There may not be enough but I would Love for them to Try!π
D: And chocolate, yes?
Z: Well yes, of course, to cover the flavor of the mud. But my veng-
D: Moar.
Z: No, see, the cakes, they have mud in them.
D: And chocolate. More.
As mentioned above, look into unemployment to get by.
No it's not temporary I'm afraid, it's permanent. The owners are tired of managing and are wealthy enough that they don't need the income or the hassles of owning a company.
On the bright side I have a couple of companies who are interested in me (I found out yesterday) so there is hope that I will be working next week. Fingers crossed.
Yes I don't know about there but here the cost of food and Petrol are rising every day so this is not the time to have the company you've been so devoted to for so long to just close their doors.
On a brighter note there are two companies who are interested in me at the moment so perhaps things will get better soon. Fingers crossed.
However I do have a couple of companies who are interested in me so there is hope that I will be working next week again.
They really didn't give much notice other than telling a coworker that they were shutting down. They should have at least had the decency to call a meeting and explain what and why this was happening.... Oh well.
Fortunately I've landed a new job with better benefits and potentially more pay once I finish training.
It really hurt that after six years of devotion the owners (who I saw and spoke to every day) didn't have the nerve to properly address the situation or be professional about. That was just wrong.
Even after I heard about it they said nothing and never mentioned it.π
I've found new work and hopefully this will last longer.
It has a lot of potential!
I'm so glad to hear that you have something, I was worried about you.
I hope that it turns out better than the last!
Indeed I truly hope I can retire from this job. I hate job hopping and it's even worse when you've invested so much into a company only to watch it vanish.
It really is... I hope that this is the one for you. <3 Here's hoping.
I have found new work with better benefits and potentially more pay, so things should be good once I finish training and get up to speed.
As I told my instructor "The worst I can do is mess up."π
Thank you So very much for the offer, you don't know how much that truly means to me Sid!
Actually I have found a job with better benefits and more pay so things should be okay once I get a few paychecks and finish the training process.βΊοΈπ
*Hugs you back in return.* You're welcome. I may be looking for another job myself, but for now I'm in good hands financially.
I hate Bi-weekly pay yet I've noticed it has become very popular among employers lately.
I did find another job and one with Much more earning potential at that!βΊοΈ
I forget now but aren't Rubles a lower denomination than dollar's? (I don't know what Russian dollar's are called.)
Is this at the pump so to speak or per barrel?
There are simple financial laws. Money is securities behind which there is some resource. If the world used to pay in dollars for oil and gas, this currency is strengthening. But if Russia starts selling its resources for rubles, then this currency will become more valuable on the world market. Accordingly, the dollar and the euro will become cheaper.
Any state that prints a huge amount of money automatically accelerates inflation. Because there will be real resources behind some of the money. But behind the excess of money is emptiness. This is how many countries get into debt. In order to ruin a country, it is enough to make its money - like a the world currency.
The same America has a lot of debts, because the dollar is now the world currency. But Americans' standard of living is not falling just because America is acting as the world's policeman. There is hardly a country in the world that wants to fight it economically or even militarily.
Now America closes access to its market for Russia. Many European countries have done the same. With the world market closed, the small country would have already been defeated. This is isolation - but it has a boomerang effect in this case. Russia is big and it has a lot of resources that it shared with other countries. This war is not just a battle for Ukraine - it is a global division of influence.
The information war or the casualties of civilians, you or me, does not matter now. Until the heads of countries agree on how they will divide the world of finance and resources, we will just watch the events. This is just my conclusion from the knowledge that I have. I hope I was able to answer your question.
