I haven’t much will to actually post on social media, just lurk.
I’ve been starting to take some actual dance classes and they’re fun if hard for me because I’m so directionally challenged (can’t tell left and right to save my life). Done some tap and some belly dance workshops, I really like the music for the latter and if I can get remotely decent at it it would be fun to do at a con sometime and I have some interesting obscure music picks that would be great for it (a track from Triforce Heroes, which I never played but has a criminally underrated soundtrack, and a ridiculously obscure surf rock song). Of course I’d have to make a suit more suitable for it, Rainbow Randall might work okay but Asterisk is entirely incompatible because there’s virtually no waist/hip mobility in that suit.
Much as I used to enjoy furry cons I got really depressed the past year or so and moving somehow made it worse, so I don’t have any formal plans for now. Maybe Furrydelphia. I mostly just really lost my connection with my old suits, Rainbow Randall is fun on occasion but I never know what to do with him and Asterisk is just a reminder of brighter times I feel nothing but resentment for now and is physically just obnoxious to wear. I’d have to make something new because I don’t like to be known for my human side or face. But as said before, I’ve gotten only increasingly depressed in 2021 and early 2022 despite my best efforts and pretty much haven’t done anything. That and since I’ve moved my perpetual obnoxious sleep needs have turned to sleeping most of my weekends and evenings away even if I get 7 hours and slam energy drinks and there’s seemingly nothing physically wrong with me blood test wise.
I’ve still given the mummy suit idea a thought though, less plastic, less sweaty, and would be visually distinct and fun. I keep thinking about something red/black in with that searing Virtual Boy look with some drapey wings. Still like the idea of a lizard because I’ve just always liked lizards.
On a nicer note I did an embroidery class and that was fun.
I just figured I should put something on here since this is really my only link to the greater furry world. Most sites are dead and twitter becomes a greater cancer day by day. I only really talk to a handful of friends and lurk.
