it's complicated, the part of ukraine he lives in is supportive of russia. in fact i'm fairly sure that mac will be russian when this is all finished. they wont go back to ukraine.

Hard to say anything at all. What I see is that both side are fighting as they can. I understand the concept that people of any country makes them live well, due taxes and whatever. But why always the "lowest" civilians are getting extra weight because one or two heads of state had "one of those days"?

it's a war tactic. they're strangling the people so that they lose their will to go on. if you crush the spirit of the people then the war effort falls apart. the reason that they're doing it to the people in the donbass region of ukraine (where mac lives) is because of the civil war that happened in 2014, where donetsk and luhansk attempted to rescind from ukraine. they failed to break from ukraine and have been living under repression ever since. when russia came they welcomed the russian troops and let them march through. indeed one of the reason given by russia for the attack is to free the people of donbass from ukraine.

У меня паспорт Украины и никогда не было трудностей с оформлением карты, в конце концов можно сделать виртуальную или оформить на родственников. Это особый вид геморроя, но лучше чем ВС однозначно.

You might want to remind people to check they cancel their payments to Patreon to make sure the money they would usually be paying to you isn't going into a void. That's been known to happen with, supporters of a deleted user come out months later and reveal they were still having money withdrawn monthly from their bank accounts by Patreon.

Maybe they just panicked.
In case Donetsk gets, like Crimea, integrated into Russian state, Patreon would be violating standing sanctions.
As they're in the USA, they'd be hit fast and hard.
So, I wouldn't call it anything like personal ill-will, just an overly cautious move of a company scraping alongside borders set up by their financial services ( Like Paypal not liking nudes ) and current world politics.
