2000 days...

2000 days. . .
It has been a long journey. I am standing here 5.5 years later. Left my home, my friends, a relationship for a future. For a purpose.
It wasnt an easy journey. Lots of hardships, depression, loneliness. But that is to be expected from a foreign land.
But I stood still. Enduring the challenges that would present for me.
Some harder than others.
I had a 3Y relationship with someone. Learned a lot about myself and relationship dynamics. Especially spotting red flags. With current knowledge it would not have been 3 years thats for sure.
Met new friends, both online and in meatspace. Really glad for them as without I would not be here anymore.
(Yall know who you are :)
I got onto a career path I only ever dreamed about.
Pretty gar from my studies but not far from my hobbies/interests.
Electricity go zap-zap
The electronics industry is like magic to the uninformed. At least seems like it haha.
Really enjoy my work of finding issues and trying to document, reproduce and potentially fix it with an amazing team.
Really happy I didn't go with teaching (sorry teachers). As I have a small social battery and kids would definitely have made me an alcoholic by my mid 30s.
Now with lockdown/Covid almost over Im looking forward for the future, feel less depressed, less lonely and for the first time in my life I have more than just a 5 year plan in my head...
...
I wasnt sure if I would write about this, but here we go.
This is my first journal here ever. I don't tend to write much bout myself, but I guess this counts as a special occasion...
