Life Update (and other things)
Endless Yelling So recently I switched over to being on demand at my day job. Essentially that means I’m no longer being scheduled but I’ll still be able to pick up shifts if I really need the money.
I’m probably one of the few weirdos who actually doesn’t mind retail work but I was getting just so burnt out. After some of the other jobs I've had I told myself that I don’t want to live my life to just make money, if it’s too soul crushing or exhausting I don’t want that to be my life just because the pay is decent. And right now I’m lucky enough to be in a spot where I have enough saved to step away from retail and focus on what I really want to do for a career: Art.
This is kind of a leap of faith and I don’t know if it’ll work out at all but it’s a risk I’m prepared to make, and I’m not jumping without a net to catch me. I’ve thought about this for a long time and determined I wasn’t happy with how I was living my life.
I have so much I want to do creatively and there’s never going to be enough hours in the day already and I was tired of wasting my time and energy in a job I had no plans of going further in. I’m also finally medicated properly for both depression and ADHD so now I can actually focus on things (better anyway).
What this means for you

I’m wanting to get back to all my comics I’ve been neglecting and I’ll finally have the time and energy to do that.
I can also spend more time focusing on the species that I own/run (Datagrims and Spectrels) so that means more designs, more events, more activity from me in general.
I’ll be finishing up commissions and trades people have been waiting on faster. I really didn’t mean for them to take this long to all get done and I am extremely grateful to everyone for their patience.
What this means for me
I’ll have to be more active about monetizing my work. This doesn’t mean everything’s suddenly going behind a paywall, but I’ll be dusting off my Patreon and fixing up my ko-fi and advertising commissions and adopts more.
I’ll also be creating more merch that will be available primarily on my Etsy but if there’s other places I end up selling on I will let you know.
Your support is always appreciated but never feel bad if you can’t afford to support me monetarily. There’s plenty of ways to support me that are completely free; just viewing, liking/favoriting, commenting on, and sharing my work is incredibly helpful and also means a lot to me!
