NO!
You do NOT need Adderall. My folks put me on that shit in my late teens. Hideous shit. It just melted my brain and made it easier for my parents to control me. I benefitted not at all.
Yes. This is a legit question.
My parents took me to all kinds of juvenile head-shrinkers because of my restlessness. They finally settled on one doc who was really just a pill pusher and who shared their social and political views.
Turns out I never had any kind of hyperactive disorder. I was just bored. Once I became an adult and got out of my parents' house, a great deal of my childhood sicknesses vanished and have not returned. That was not a coincidence.
And to Our Host's predicament? I would suggest that if he really wants to draw, but does not know what, then just start doodling. See what comes out the pen by itself. It works for me.
i abused adderall during the pandemic and it was great. i dont want to take it every day but when i did i could focus on drawing so it was helpful there at least.
also "just start doodling" doesnt work. thats like saying "stop being depressed lol"
It sucks that you need something like Adderall to help you keep your head. Shit's not good.
And I am not belittling your predicament, I promise. The Japanese call it "god comes through the tool", when you just set down and let your fingers do what they want. Just a suggestion.

Ugh... the withdrawal symptoms were horrible.
