Well technically we do, the first game was actually set on an island off the coast of Australia. Sonic has always been from "our world", the entire concept of "Mobius" was the invention of American advertisers who somehow thought kids wouldn't want to play the game unless they thought it took place in a wacky alien world. And then Sonic X had the characters be from a parallel universe and the fandom latched onto that even more. :V

Penders is a slop artist that can't even draw stick figures, yet he thinks of himself as the best thing since peanut butter jelly sandwiches. He's a huge reason why allot of sonic fans hate Sally acorn. He ruined that character. Plus he he single handedly sank the ship on Sonic SATAM. Is it any wonder that to this day Panders cries like the man baby he is over much of the Sonic fandom picking on him?

What Penders did to Sally is pretty much THE big reason why allot of the Sonic Fandom hates Sally Accorn. Ponders turned her from a cool headed leader into a spoiled little princess easily manipulated into cheating on Sonic by Godfey Saint John, his skunk character and Munkey Khan. The infamous "Sally slaps.Sonic" event is pretty much the culmination of what Prnders did. I stopped reading the comic at that issue. Sally was my favorite character and the original Sonic SATAM version of her still is. But under Penders she took a major nose dive. In short, if you don't like Sally Accorn, don't blame her. Blame Penders.

Back on topic; Ken just.... does not get it. Never will, and all he's doing is ensuring the majority of those in the Sonic fandom that knows of him will curse his name. As many have said his lawsuit ensured the best iteration of Sonic the Hedgehog was ruined forever. Now to be fair, Archie Comics deserves a lot of the backlash as well for not having their contracts kept safe, tidy, and copied, copied, COPIED to hell, and back!! What should have been an open and dismissed case, was allowed to become what it did that gave Ken a leg up in the case. We know the rest.

I do hope Sega, and Paramount bury him. As it is, I'm sure as much as Sega wants to have nothing to do with him again, I'm sure anybody who had to deal with the mess he created would gladly take a chance to put the boot to his head. He's going after Sega's trademarks, and using the most flimsy excuses, especially since many of his cited reasons are stuff the games laid out beforehand, save Knuckles Father, which in all media but the comic, he's never had one. However that doesn't mean Ken's version is the ONLY viable iteration, Sega and Paramount can create their own, and hell he can be named Locke too since the name is not a trademark, and unless he does things exactly like Ken's shitty character; there is no case.
