Animation Collabs? Is this possible?
So, I love doing animations. But the problem is they take SO LONG to finish. Sometimes I really feel like giving a part of the work to someone else (and giving part of the profit).
I know there aren't a lot of animators on here. And the few that I'm aware of seem to be busy with their own things (and probably dont wanna talk to me lol). Originally I thought someone with little to no animation experience could at least line/flat color the animation (basically just tracing over my sketches), but I feel like things would get complicated if they also had to track patterns on the flat coloring (like a pattern on fur or clothes), as well as keeping the linework consistent (yes this actually affects the animation if not done right :'D).
I'd probably feel more comfy with a partner who was experienced in animating, but I really dont know any haha. (they'd also need to be familiar with Clip Studio EX's animation interface, thats all I use to make my animations haha)
I'm not currently looking to do a collab atm, but its something I might consider in the future. Do you how you might go about doing something like this? Or does this seem like a bit too much trouble and I should just stick to going solo?

Some of my animation for reference [heads-up for kink content] https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....9362/Animation
I'm available through notes, or through DM on Twitter.

Just lmk either way!
Yeah, I'm.. pretty shy and anxious haha. So I tend to not ever contact first (i always think im bothering people lol). Though atm, I dont really have any ideas in mind for a possible animated YCH yet xD But if you want to chat privately, feel free!
Though I'm not familiar with CSP's animation tools, as I personally use Toon Boom Harmony
But this isnt quite the same. I'm mainly talking about working on a single animation, but splitting the work with someone else. So ideally I'd like to work with someone who complements my work/style well so everything kinda comes together seamlessly.
and that is possible regardless of differing programs being used, just gotta be creative with what limitations you've got... like between CSP and Toon Boom, you can send the animation or individual frames as transparent PNG files for the other to color out
I know it's the animation itself you're concerned about, but maybe splitting the workload to where you don't have to worry about something like background elements might help a little bit?
I guess I could leave the bg to someone else, though from my experience, painting the background usually takes up only 10%-20% of the workload for one animated piece. The bulk of the work is still the animating haha (though i know this differs for everyone). So I feel like figuring out how to split the profits like that might cause some drama lol.
I guess the best thing really is to find something like a business partner to help you out. Have like an application that people can submit their portfolios for either line work or the flat coloring, shading even while animating and go from there.
If I do wanna do a collab though, I still wanna kinda keep it more casual and fun for both of us. I dont want it to feel like someone is applying for a "job" really haha. But I know when it comes to animation, theres a lot of crucial steps (much more so than illustrating) that I wouldnt want to fall through, so I probably would have to be pretty strict and picky. :'D
no worries if this isn't what you're looking for, but if you're ever up for a collab you can note me or message me on my twitter @/cielbun! your art is super inspirational ^^
edit: i should note that though i don't really have examples, i am ok with suggestive/nsfw!
But thanks for showing! ^^
So maybe if you're interested, hit me up~
But like the commenter above, its sorta hard to gauge the animation skill when there isnt many examples to show unfortunately. ^^' I'd prefer a broad breadth of work so I can sorta figure out how the work could be split. :'D
That's totally fair. I will say that I actually made a bunch more, but I keep them separate from this account (for professional reasons). I'll DM to you if you're curious.
I wish ya good luck with your projects! ^w^
But thank you though!
Tho it's been a while since I've animated, use to be my major in school, but I moved to visdev as I found myself more passionate in that area. But I never fell out of love with animation, but I did fall out of practice XD
Yeah I kinda went through something like that when i was in school lol. I started with 3d animation, then storyboarding, then back to 2d animation/illustration. Though, now i kinda just do everything except 3D xD
I only took with 2D animation and made some flash games, one that will haunt me forever cause I could never get this one bug fixed in the coding AHHHHHH!
Been familiarizing myself to Clips animation since 2020 cause.....well obvious reasons really XD (cough cough)
I remember like one of your 3D projects....and never saw another XD
All been 2D and I looooooove!
but seems the flash drive I downloaded my files too didn't download all my files all the way, So I have to re set up my ancient mac which has the originals to fetch them which I hope they're ok
