I'm fucking tired of artist taking money and running....

OK, I'm finally fucking fed up with this bullshit.
I've worked with so many artists over the years, and I'm absolutely sick and tired of ones who take your money and run off of.
There are a few pieces of art I ordered last year but are not complete due to the artists personal lives getting in the way, but they at least keep me updated.
Now every there are two artists I've been waiting on for over 4yrs and 6yrs and have nothing to show for it.
They sent me concept or sketch ideas then nothing, stopped communicating. I try to contact them every 3-4 months and just get ignored..
Both artist had myself and the rest involved spend hundreds of dollars total up front for the commissions and we nothing to show for it.
So I've had it and left a shout on their main pages.
I'd say who these artists are, but then FA would try and claim this is a call out journal instead of a warning and what I am waiting for...
But you might be able to find them if you look around.

customers deserve respect, their money is the result of effort, and such effort commands respect, because, it's money we artists need. so, yeah, i understand your point.
Yeah the F.A. of today would gladly let Jessica L. Wood run rampant quietly. It's sad to witness.
This website not allowing callouts just feels like them being on the side of art thieves. Good to know they can just keep taking money from people and we can't tell others about it. Such a good design.

Is the reputation you want to establish (assuming they weren't brand new anywhere) worth stealing $50?
I've also been waiting YEARS for 2 different PAID FOR commissions but they've ghosted me and I can't freaking stand it.
I'm also fine with things taking a while provided I get updates (within reason). Going radio silence is a good way to get action taken.
It's clearly perfectly normal to take money up front and then not communicate with the customer or do any work on the picture for multiple years.
So long as they can keep people's hope alive for long enough that Paypal won't allow you to refund the payment then they get to keep your generous donation without needing to worry about your opinions of what a reasonable timetable looks like for managing their business.
Really wish FA allowed a certain amount of callout and review was expected and allowed when it comes to people `running a business`` since they do in fact facilitate business through their website regardless of whether or not they're doing it officially or not.
You get enough foot traffic to your page that someone will see like "Wow, they've been waiting 4 years for a commission from x artist, I'll remind myself to not commission them."
