Sad to see, how the mighty is falling. Sadly, if a paid commission isn't done in a reasonable or set time range AND there is zero communication going on, then it's time to end the 'love' with that artist! If you were this patient, then your new deadline is far more then generous! You did well to demand to get serviced for your payment, and you did good to point this problem out in your Journal! I hope the artist will take it seriously, and do as requested! If not, you need to file a fraud claim and see what is there to be done to get a refund. Sad to see such talent go to waste, because the artist seemingly stops communication/work but does faving art and such...quite angering even! Wish you all well with dealing with this case and closing it with the most satisfaction as it can!

In July 2019, he originally promised to finish within a month. Being little delayed but still with some progressions, he asked me to pay the full next month. My income was not very enough but I still paid for price equivalent to 40% of my monthly wage at that time. As we know, things turned out of control after October 2019.

I actually have no hope of seeing my commission getting completed or receiving any refund, but I just want people know that the right of commissioners is so little and weak.

There is an option on his site (Journal) where you can report your commission to him and that you want a refund...Not sure if He will do so, or finish the art, but both finish would be better, then just leaving people hanging and without any communication. I sure hope that the case will be resolved, and with an ending that is either refund or done art!

On the other hand, FA and all other art site should have something like a "mail-order-delivery tracking" but in art form. So when commissioners pay for something the payment will be transferred only after the artist LEGALLY obliges to either finish it or give a refund come deadline!! That would really build trust (legal insurance form) between buyer and seller.

The form was provided long time ago so it didn’t work actually. Also commissioning is no longer popular now as more artists prefer subscriptions, although I don’t really like the ideas.

The fact that the artist does favoriting other's art are activity, and in this case the ignoring customers can be quite angering! Why not talk to an FA staff member and get the account suspended for a week/month long to signal the artist, that he has paid work to complete or face perma-ban!!! I am sure, a warning from a staff member will get his attention! File an FA trouble ticket, and ask for help, about the "ignorance-from-paid-artist problem" of yours! Staff member can force them into non-negligence! Keep me/us updated about this option and good luck!

New favorite made as of April 8th this year, seems to be the only activity.

His last response to me was much earlier than it.

Yeah, it's an unfortunate and disappointing situation.

When I wrote this journal, I sent messages to him too. No response.

That sucks.
