incompetent customer, artists be on the lookout!

Not so long ago, this person
th3dzon33 wanted to buy YCH from me.
everything was fine. the person asked first to make final sketches for him with his characters, I agreed because not every person can also trust the artist from whom he orders something for the first time and also pay with another method that has appeared recently (I’ll introduce boosty). I drew sketches for him with his characters, made the edits he asked for. at some point, the person began to ignore me, apparently these sketches with color for free were enough for him. this character deliberately ignored me, I saw how he appeared on the network. honestly, I'm very sorry, because I spent enough of my time on these sketches. I want the artists who read this post to be on the alert for this customer who may want to deceive them, like me, leaving their work unpaid. I used to wear normally to people who ask for a sketch before payment, but after this incident I am already afraid to do so.

At **most**, I might ask for a rough sketch you would see in a 'how to draw' manual of basic body proposions before I pay someone in full, and even then, that's rare.
For someone like you, I'd absolutely pay in full, up front, once we settle on the details, a vague delivery date, etc. If I notice in a halfway mark piece of progress something is a bit off, I'd say something and we can work to fix it. You know... like normal people.
