Turning Corners
As I approach my 35th birthday, it occurs to me i've turned a pretty positive corner after the dreary darkness of 2016-2022. A lot of bad ugly ass shit happened, some global, local, and even a fair chunk to me myself personally. At this point though, I can't let it confront me. Art has slowed down, because i've been focusing on me, and more importantly, getting sober. Which I have successfully achieved after a pretty bingey couple of months. Been dry outside a pair of social beers at two dinners with friends in celebration of recent employment since February 21st. Yeah, got a job after the longest career hiatus i've ever been on. It ain't fancy, just a shift manager position at a Dunkin' but fuck it, pays the bills, puts a li'l money in savings, and ain't stressful at all compared to what i'm used to. Back in therapy, and back on anti-depressants, which have leveled me out to a considerable degree. I think it's fair to say I was in denial there for a long time about needing them after getting off them back in 2015... Check your mental health, folks, shitty therapy exists, but if you need it, it can be life changing in a big positive way.
That said, intend to return to Illustration in June. May is squaring up some debts, some back logs, and putting in some supports to the framework of continued development.
To everyone silently cheering me on, thank you. To everyone actively encouraging, you're the fuckin' real MVPs. To everyone softly hating me for moving past problems? I wish you the best.

Thats good to hear man. We all grow, products of lessons we learn throughout out lives. Some good, some bad, but coming out of it as a better person is always a victory.
