Have you tried Postybirb? I've started using it recently. Not only does it make uploading to multiple sites easier but it also gives you some comfort featuers, like it automatically reuploads the pic to FA to go beyond the 1280px size limit. Also you can prepare submissions in advance, edit multiples at once, queue them up for upload. Just really good stuff.

I have installed it in the past, but never got around to use it. I found FABUI which does a pretty good job, even uploads to the full resolution, but it still takes a while to tag everything and write descriptions for each pic. Does PostyBirb alleviate any of that beyond presets?

I don't know what FABUI does but in Postybirb you can edit multiple submissions at once, giving them all the same tag or description. There are also tag groups you can define and apply, say if there are tags that are very common to go together and just add a bunch at once. You can have templates for descriptions, that you can also just add to your current written one. I use that for my Patreon link signature, for example. I've also used that to upload an image series, where I basically gave every picture the same description. Only had to write it out once and took a few clicks to add.
