KINK SOULS - A DARK SOULS PARODY!
Hi all!
So, as you've probably noticed, the last few entries in 'Kink Souls' took a lot longer to upload than the first batch. The reason for this is that the first six chapters ('phase one') were worked on offline, and I only created this account once I had all of them ready to go. I figured having a bunch of chapters up would be encouraging for anyone who actually wanted to follow this stuff! The next six ('phase two') were drafted over the course of a couple of weeks I had off from work, so I had plenty of time to get them written up.
Unfortunately, my holidays (as holiday are wont to do) are now over, so I'm only getting little fragments of free time in which to write up new chapters. For that reason, the most recent six ('phase three') could only be chipped away at a little bit at a time. You'll notice these are getting longer - 'Applying Pressure' was 14,000 words, when I originally intended for these to be around 8,000 words each - so obviously that's another factor.
As a result, I'm afraid things will be slowing down significantly during 'phase four' and it might be quite some time before I can upload anything else. I certainly do intend to finish this project (I've written eighteen chapters out of an intended thirty-one, after all, so no sense quitting now!), but unless I get another spell of time off, this will take a while.
The plans at the moment are as follows;
1) Annabelle versus Bone Towers (and the return of Trusty Streaks) in the Tomb of the Giants;
2) Chausiku versus a Chaos Eater (and the return of Benhdall of Zena) in Lost Izalith;
3) Viliae versus a Giant Clam and Darkwraith stallions in the Crystal Cave;
4) Solesca versus a Black Hydra and a new Blighttown Barbarian Queen in Ash Lake;
5) Sumeyye versus Masses of Souls and some rather vengeful spirits in Lower New Londo Ruins;
6) Eshima confronting the true villain of the story in the Abyss!
This will leave 'Phase Five' to be the DLC-areas (but I won't spoil exactly how that's going to fit into things) and a finale at the Kiln of the First Flame. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions of their own, I'm always flattered to hear from folks!

IRL first, I still need to catch up, but please take the time you need.
Hey man, long as you don't burn out or abandon this project, I'm happy with it! You do you, IRL comes first. I would normally suggest some kind of alternate timeline/bad end chapters to entice readers, maybe like Solesca being enslaved by the Dragonesses, or Eshima becoming the toy of the gargoyles, or Viliae staying with Stray, but you've already said you had plans for that in phase five. Guess you just spoiled us with your writing! Best of luck, and come back soon!
