a little about my husband
I sometimes write here that my husband is sick, and I collect money for treatment. Now I decided to share with you what happened.
despite the fact that we have only known each other for a year and a half (and married for a year), he told me his illness from the very beginning. and that was in 2013. stones appeared in his gallbladder, and the doctors insisted on removing the organ. six months later, he began to have sharp pains in the right hypochondrium, which have not stopped until now. The cause of these pains is not yet known. his blood work, liver tests, CT scan, EGD, and other tests look like he's perfectly healthy. His stomach, pancreas, liver are working perfectly. However, there are constant inflammations in the bile ducts and duodenum.
For 9 years now, doctors have not been able to determine the cause of these inflammations, and how this is related to his wonderful analyzes. my husband has been constantly complaining of pain for 9 years...
Sometimes he has flare-ups. and it's just awful!! he cannot find a place for himself, it hurts him to lie down, sit, walk. the skin and eyes begin to turn yellow, bilirubin rises, bitterness and heartburn are felt in the mouth. Why this happens - no one knows. how to cure it - no one knows. Doctors say in plain text "we don't know what's wrong with you. You're unique." His only salvation at such moments is rheosorbilact, omeprazole and some other medicines that simply relieve pain and symptoms. But they don't treat the cause.
That is why we systematically spend a lot of money to make it easier for him. and we spend A LOT of money to get different examinations in different clinics. so far all to no avail.
But it is also the reason why I have to provide for our family. I dream of a new smartphone and a sushi set for my birthday. But most of all I dream that my husband will be healthy forever! And all my money will go to his treatment
thanks for your support!

My friend Rich says...
"I actually had gall stones, which caused pancreatitis after long bouts of bad eating; eating heavy foods that are difficult to digest makes the gall bladder work harder to deliver bile, disturbing the stones, which subsequently get stuck in the duct & inflame the pancreas until the pressure builds enough to push the stuck stone through. The misdiagnosis was in initially missing the stones & presuming that because I'm a lifelong entertainment worker, I simply must be lying about not drinking, as pancreatitis is generally caused by alcoholism.
Where I would start with the husband is A) Don't believe it's "unique", instead consider the ignorance/lack of specific expertise in the doctors consulted thus far. They aren't good problem solvers as a group and very often miss critical details that aren't in their preprogrammed flowcharts.
B) in looking at the body as a whole: Is he otherwise healthy? Not BS American healthy, but actually not fat/not worn out, legitimate physical specimen healthy? 'Cause all this stuff usually comes down to overtaxed system due to long term over consumption of something, be it booze, drugs, whatever.
C) Ruling that out consider allergies.
Answer is probably diet & isn't going to be on the chart; just the wrong questions being asked.
The omeprazole part is screaming at me. Is he overweight? Alcoholic?
I was on proton pump inhibitors for 3 years before a wiser doctor pulled me off them, explaining
"of course you have stomach acid bubbling up overnight; you have 100+ pounds of fat squishing you like a water balloon 24/7.
BTW my missed gall stones was a life-threatening mistake that also cost a lot to fix too late. "
I don't know if it's appropriate to ask you to mediate between me and your friend haha. but there are a few questions here, so I think I should answer them.
1) he visited many doctors in many large and small cities (more than 10 cities, about 15-20 doctors, I think). in addition, they all, relying on the experience of the previous ones, tried to prescribe some new treatment. but that didn't help either.
2) then, he keeps the diet for at least 5 years when the pains get worse. no heavy, fried, fatty and spicy foods. and a limited amount of alcohol (we can drink a bottle or two when he is much better. but this was about once every six months)
3) he looks as healthy as possible. he cannot exercise enough because of the pain, but visually he is not fat. 177cm/80kg in fact
4) doctors prescribed omeprazole to help better absorption of enzymes (pancreatin). my mom also drinks this all the time after cholecystectomy to avoid heartburn. so I didn't understand the "alcoholic or fat" part
My friend never touches alcohol but he did eat bad food and way too much of it. He merely needed to ask the hard questions not knowing you or your husband, is there an underlying issue of excess weight or drug/alcohol consumption that might not have been mentioned to any doctor. Things that might solve the issue if they are avoided. But that does not seem to be the issue.
I will tell him what you sent now and see what he says. Also if he would like to chat with you directly if you think it might help.
I will tell you he is not a furry but you would like him, he worked his way through college as a campus DJ and sushi chef, got his engineering degree and now works for several magicians in Las Vegas in technical capacities.
