Palworld - If Pokemon Was Metal AF

--> My T.O.S. <--
Check out this trailer and tell me you're not getting real hyped up

I've actually not been this hyped for a game in a really long time, not even actual Nintendo Pokemon games,
because, to me, they're just not even trying anymore.
Now this on the other hand looks really bonkers, it kinda looks like what could be done with a Pokemon-esque
formula if you just added more mature/adult elements and really breathed some life into a concept that has otherwise
become pretty stale over the years. And this is coming from someone who has 0 interest in shooters! Also love how
they are hinting at an actual food-chain, for obvious reasons x3
I don't get my hopes up a lot anymore or get hyped for any games really. The last two were the Dragon's Dogma
DLC "Dark Arisen" way back on the PS3(?) I believe, cause DD is one of my favorite games and then Biomutant a while
back which was unfortunately utterly disappointing. But something about Palworld makes me hope it's gonna be a banger,
it already looks like a lot of passion and just crazy ideas are going into it and it also seems to be coming out this year already~
Also if it does land and gain some popularity I'd reeaally love to see a lot of artwork popping up and doodle some of the
characters myself. ...Nah I'll probably doodle some regardless.
Let me know what you think about the game!

"Let’s try not to force them into labor or eat them alive!"
which is posted on literally every trailer.. im not sure if its a translation thing.. but it feels uber PETA. i doubt they'd spend this much setting up a VERY good looking game but its giving off vibes that i think ill have to wait and see when it comes out if EVER it comes out lol
if it turns out to just be a really good game im REALLY hype for it
It was very difficult for me to the point that i got destroyed by some bandits out from of the main city.
But dying meant reloading so I would beat them once in a while, return to save, then go back cuz they respawned and it would be slightly easier.
Suddenly with the levels to beat these bandits, everything else was just easy and i breezed through without problems.
Until the DLC, I never got the gear I was farming for.
I remember raging a lot when they killed me out of nowhere, especially since I'm someone who often forgets to save the game at all, but other than that I was completely happy with it~
I do enjoy the idea of a food chain for what is quite literally wild animals, maybe going as far as to have your Pokemon/Pets/Pals die if not fed properly, maybe even having to go out hunting for food. The anime has done pretty creative things from the very beginning that were never introduced into games, at least the ones I've played. Like having a big buff guy like Machoke using their strength to actually help build your own house that you can then use as a base for all your operations. Have fire Pokemon actually fight against the cold and have a mechanic built around that, maybe have water Pokemon to water your crops or even drink from because nearby natural water is polluted and can't be used.
There's so much that can be done with a Pokemon-like formula that Nintendo doesn't lean into too much, so when a new game like Palworld with wild concepts that really jump out at you pops up, I'm all into that :3
Having the more adult themes alone would not interest me all that much. What I do like is that it looks like they've tried to experiment with the collector RPG considerably more than we've seen lately. Trying to innovate like that does have a chance of going poorly, but the fact that they actually seem like they're trying is enough to get me interested.
It frequently gives news on monster taming games, both as games that are being worked on and other news.
One of the games that finaly is available is coromon
Tbh when I first saw Pals being enslaved and experimented I thought that was from this game's version of Team Rocket before finding out that the player has the option to do stuff like this (again, something you'll never see in pokemon)
And even though it's a shooter the trailer also features things like building and farming, which to me shows that the game lets you play however you want - hard, easy, good, evil - which means it's filled with potential and things to do for all kinds of playstyles!
Definitely something great to look forward to in my opinion, and here's hoping it makes big!
