Commission Slots Feb/Mar

Slots are here~
Honestly, if I do open commissions again in the future, I'll have to find a better system than the current one,
maybe something like themed commissions, friends / regulars only or simply being permanently open and accepting
whatever appeals to me in the moment, because the way it is currently going feels somewhat outdated and rather
unpleasant to go through at times.
My "Rules and Information" bit isn't that long, it's like 5 lines of text, and if a majority of people contacting me can't
be bothered to read through them, it's somewhat disheartening. What's worse is when people send me characters
that are so far outside of my bubble, aka what is expected to be seen in my gallery, that I have to wonder if they've
ever even seen my pictures. It's a trend that's gotten worse the last few times comms were open, so changes need to be made.
Anyway, here's the list.
1.
DazzlingRaz
2.
eeveechu
3.
mr-rowboat
4.
ermine
5.
atrocityatwork
The list is shorter than usual because I don't wanna go overboard with colored stuff after offering those comms for
the first time in a long time. Also afraid of both not meeting expectations and possible burnout a little.
Sorry for everyone who almost got chosen but didn't make the final cut, there will be more chances in the future.
I really hope this is the last time I have to make commissions-related excuses and tell people I'm sorry, next time the
system will be better. Cus I do mean it when I say I'm sorry, to the folks who worded their ideas nicely and thoroughly
and have fun characters to work with and were willing and kind enough to give me the chance to work on a commission with
them. I still try to mix new faces and regulars as well, but it's getting tougher, and I'm not gonna deny that working with
people I've had great experiences with feels more relaxed and safe, so I gravitate towards them more these days. After
doing this stuff for roughly 15 years, having that reccuring clientele is nice. Again, cozy bubble.
Anyway, enough ranting.
Will contact you guys soon.
As always, thank you a lot for you interest~

And for those that just have characters that don't fit what you do, just gotta let them know that their character isn't for you, sorry, it is how it is.
Of course it's nice to work with reoccurring people, friends are friendly, and nothing to discount at all <3
Definitely take your time and accept how much or little as you want, and don't feel bad about it! You'll be best working at the pace you want, on the workload you want, and you, your friends, your commissioners, and your future supporters all benefit from you being as comfortable and healthy as you can be! Any complainers should consider how much they are just being self-indulgent and not being respectful here.
I'm glad to see you back at it, and looking forward to what you create <3
there is a lot of truth to making better pictures when you're feeling well, but I also gotta balance it with not becoming too cozy/lazy x3
I wasn't opposed to your idea or the way you presented it, it just wasn't quite able to make the list >.<
If the idea is something you're not at all interested in doing, it WOULD be handy to know that, for future reference - so one's not just blindly going "hey maybe it'll get picked this time".
When I draw a Schwarzi chapter, I literally see the doggo for a few months, almost daily x3 So for commissions, I'm glad to get away from that for once.
Really sorry that I didn't include that rule in the journal, I should have remembered that Schwarzi was a possibility.
If I'd known, maybe I'd have tossed in a different idea.
I think mine might have been a bit different to your usual content or at least pushing a bit.
Though I have suggested to other friends to do themes based on what they feel like.
Examples, you open specifically for feral idea, another for Pokemon or Digimon, basically whatever you feel like at that point.
I doubt you'd have any lack of interest.
But worth a try, I've seen friends draw her, but to me she's just a tad too humanoid for any nom scenarios.
Themed comms are something I tried one time in the past, for pokemon pics, but the replies were very limited. Tho that
was a loooong time ago, maybe it would work better today.
The issue with her is that, I know lots of people who really like her, one of my friends I thought would really enjoy drawing her, but he finds her a little too complex and I think that might be the issue with many others as to why she has little content.
It was a gamble, I already understood if you choose not to take it.
It's just nice to know it wasn't for lack of understanding your preference, which is something I really try to take into account with who I commission
edit: If I did break them, sincerest apologies, I'll read them more carefully next time
Mabye a solution could be to write down in your "open comish" journals your do's and dont's and how you currently mood and biases, that way you get to draw what you want
That I have to put "check out my gallery for examples" in the journal seems like overkill already x3
But yeah more precisely themed commissions might not be a bad idea.
the best way is to be direct about it and tell people exacly how you want things to go and to not be ambigus and expect them to understand and know, we dont know you persnoly, only what you draw
Thank you for considering nonetheless! ^^
Just one of those comms that barely didn't make the cut, sorry about that >.<
Maybe next time :x
Yours was entirely fine, in the top 10 even if I can call it that. Some others were so far away from that, it almost felt like trolling x3;;
With that said, that won't stop me from trying again in the future whenever you open comms again. Hopefully I'll be luckier next time, I still appreciate the chance for a slot though, thank you and I hope whatever idea you may come up with to change how you accept commissions in the future works out for you. 😌
But yeah I hope my comm idea wasn't too out there or too boring or anything for you hahaha. 😅
(Also I wanna apologize if I may have annoyed you with my multiple Beastars comm ideas I suggested in your last two commission openings awhile back, I'm just a big fan of Beastars lol.)
I know i'm definitely a new person that just popped up, but I do tend to be more of a lurker than anything >w<
In the end xD I personally stopped commissioning artists that do the "send your ideas and I'll pick x out of x ideas" thing, as to me it sounds like I'm having to bet my ideas against other people and change what I would have originally wanted to please the artist instead of getting something I would have wanted.
In the end of the day tho its up to you
