Well, certainly not like, actively evil macros, because that part of my character is long in the past. I guess ones that like lording over tinies in a firm but endearing way! We know we're the best, and deserve tributes of shinies and copious amounts of food! Endearing because they have some sort of character flaw compared to the micro - "caveman" vs. technologically advanced tinies, or doofus vs. super smart, or cowardly vs. brave.

Well that kaiju gryphon you have looks pretty cool, but I dunno....I've been really hesitant lately to go outside of friends and acquaintances for both cameos in art and artists themselves. You end up getting art with someone you don't know that well, then later it turns out they're a shithead, then that happens a few times, and now all of a sudden you look like you're associated with all these unsavory characters that you're really just in it for the art with. Not saying you're like that, of course, but just trying to let you know where I'm coming from when I'm like, "Yeahhhh, maybe, I dunno...."

And I'll just shrug my shoulders and say "We'll see" (but I mean it). Honestly the commissions are kind of dry lately because I've spent lots of money moving around and on IRL gifts for myself, and that monthly Nommz slot ain't cheap to hold onto.

Chicken nuggets or chicken tenders?

Tenders/strips definitely. Easy dunking in dipping sauce of choice - like sweet Thai pepper - and I've found a lot of quality tenders out there. Popeye's spicy ones are pretty good in terms of national chains. They had a Raising Cane's in Boston and their strips were pretty tasty. Roy Rogers is a chain we have here in Maryland and their strips are fantastic but expensive.

Also want to mention the only place I really like nuggets from is Wendy's spicy nuggs.

What's the smallest you've been?

The smallest in art I've ever been is about sperm-sized, I think! That's about as small as I'd like to be, and really only in that specific sort of scenario. On a regular basis I fantasize about being a size where it would take some time and effort to scale the height of a fingerprint ridge.

Good! To follow up on my last (deleted) journal, I finished my degree and found a great job. I'll have plenty of funds and time to go to furry cons, and I suppose my next long-term goal is to find an (IRL) SO.

Tegon is me when doing micro/nano shenanigans, definitely. I personally enjoy both the sense of exploration and wonder of being at that size, as well as the humiliation in certain scenarios. Tegon's just a character when doing macro stuff, because I have little interest in pretending to be giant.

The second question is an interesting one that I don't think I've touched on before. Hmm, let's see. I joined FA in July 2012 (10 year anniversary of being a furry next month, woo!), and I distinctly remember working on my first story in the college library in early 2013. At the time I was just using characters specifically created for the story and didn't attach to any one in particular. Around that time I saw an adoptable for a t-rex that became Pyror. I'm trying to think of why I didn't stick with Pyror - I think my ultimate thinking was that he wasn't well suited for an eventual fursuit and he had too much of a straight-up violent personality. So Tegon was first devised in like March 2013-ish as a response to that, plus the fact that there was lots and lots of hot dragon art on FA. An artist created a ref sheet in April based on, I think, literally this: "Tegon is a 23-year-old western dragon. He’s a technophile and usually never seen without his cell phone or a laptop. He is a sizeshifter, and tops out at around 300’." Soon after I got a commission slot with Teaselbone and the first Tegon art in May. So really it was only about 2 months from idea to execution.

No long story for the last question though. The first thing I'd do is shrink into the nearest pair of pants, lol. Literally all I'd want to do is get small and explore bodies.

Yeah, that sounds great! That kind of perspective of a monolith sweeping overhead, very cool. Too bad it's more or less impossible to experience that feeling in real life. VR is getting there!

Pfft, ten years of GPU upgrades and force feedback on the full body tracking and you won't know the difference from reality. We hope. XD

Yeah, I really hope the cost of VR equipment goes down. With economies of scale, blah blah blah, that should happen. And do some back exercises now with the promise of what's to come :P

Tegon, what would you do if you were a kaiju at the beach?

Like are we talkin' a hot kaiju? Cause if so I'd do copious amounts of posing in my swimsuit, maybe grind on a few sunbathers (their whole bodies, that is!). Hopefully there'd be a similar-sized friend so we could have some public fun - scandalous!

What's your favorite size to be shrunk to.

Juuust small enough that you'd have to expend some effort to know I'm there - think like black ant size.

I hear the skeptics out there - How is macro any fun without interaction? - so there ya go. You can still have interaction! You just have to work for it!

When was the last time you were big?

Okay, okay, it's been a while - usually it's at the request of friends nowadays - but yeah, I kind of want to break out of Tegon getting typecast as some kind of speck-sized cuck weirdo, so I promise giant Tegon will be coming back some time soon! In fact I need to come up with my June idea for my Nommz commission slot, so no better time like the present and all that....

But some people do, and it's starting to get to the "that's his schtick" phase, which I want to pull back from.

I'm gonna kind of shock you and say that I'm not really into feet - yup - so it would have to be shoes. I mean, foot + flip flop is better than just foot to be sure. Converse is always a favorite.

But yeah, the foot itself doesn't do much for me, certainly not IRL, it's more like the fact that it's almost this sort of metonymy for a giant, or the idea of mass destruction with little effort.

Tegon, you bullshitter, you commission close ups of feet, clearly you're into it! Well, do I feel a toeprint is functionally any different from a fingerprint? Not really, and that's one of the only things I really like about putting feet in art.

Yeah, anyway, thank you for patiently reading my stream-of-consciousness, totally unnecessary vain musing about the idea. Uh, shoes. Shoes is the answer.

What's the biggest you'd be willing to go as a macro?

Roughly "continental" - like big enough that it wouldn't take too long to walk across the US. One step causes so much damn havoc that the stories around that are pretty sweet. Plus you get cool comics like this. Bigger, like planet, etc.? Eh, take it or leave it, though there's been some good art incorporating that size. Just the fact that there's like a universe in there somewhere doesn't do much for me.

What is your next story going to be? Also, when do you plan on uploading it?

Hmm, I think about it, and I'm like - what is there left to write? If you know me, you know I'm into really really detailed and vivid scenes that usually involve a tiny trapped between two lovers. I've....kind of already done that to death. Otherwise, it's like - eh, what do I write?  Vonadi's writing me a story that I'm really looking forward to, involving giant Quarians, so for now the itch is scratched. If I did write again, it would have to be something with an actual storyline, and it would probably involve space/aliens in some way. I fuckin' love reading the Mass Effect novelizations, and would love to emulate that kind of universe in writing.

What's your favorite scenario in nano that you don't see too often? And are there any ideas you are in love with that you haven't commissioned / seen ever in nano / micro stories?

First contact scenarios gone wrong are great. Flubbed science experiment -> underpaid intern coming into to clean-up -> hitching a ride, excellent. Really anything with a narrative because nano comics are practically non-existent.

Mm, I'm not sure there is anything for the second question. Looking at my idea list...uhh, Tegon swinging from a clit ring maybe? Don't see a lot of piercings in nano art. Maybe like a truly epic scene of fighting against currents in a puddle of cum deep inside another body? Anything else would cross into the realm of things I'm not really interested in commissioning. Either no artists out there that would be able to give it justice, content that most artists wouldn't draw, etc. But even if I haven't seen it in art I've read it in a story at some point.

Mechs are cool! But I would say that I'm generally into slim/twinkish builds.

What sort of species do you think are under-represented in the macro community and that there should be more of?

Let’s see…aliens (not necessarily fitting a certain design or mold, but usually when someone has an alien character they look cool), orcas (though I understand it can be hard to customize an orca).

Not necessarily species specific but I wish more macros were wearing full body armor.

And I kind of love the apes  neurodyne draws, maybe a few macro ones would be nice? 🫣
