First off: he's still alive and kicking (figuratively, of course. I don't think they'd appreciate him doing so in the hospital bed). I had a brief chat with him earlier via discord and he asked me to pass this along so he wouldn't have to repeat himself. I don't know the exact details, but I'll try to communicate the gist of it.

From what I gathered, he lost a fight with a bagel and started choking. Having noone around that could help him, he swallowed it down hard and that fucked up something along the way down. He ended up in the hospital due to overwhelming pain, the cause of which could caused him to go septic. He'll be having surgery in two days at which point they'll be able to remove the tubes (by his own account, he's currently "down to like 7 hoses in him"). They're keeping a close eye on him.

I told him to take it easy, but I'm sure the hospital staff will make sure of that. And of course I wish him a swift recovery.
