What got you into the furry fandom/ community?

What got you interested or fully-into the furry community/ fandom? It's a question I've been pondering myself! I tried thinking back to remember the first furry art I ever saw; or the first content that made me realize that furries were "a thing." Of course, I saw plenty of cartoons as a kid that are now considered furry classics - especially the Disney Robin Hood animated movie (I still love that one! Maid Marian will always be a 10/10 in my book). Plus, the Crash Bandicoot series was (and still is) one of my all-time favorite game series.
I think Coco Bandicoot was likely the first furry art I ever saw - most likely a very early pinup by my good friend Shinragod! This was in the days before FA (or, at least, before I'd ever heard of this site), so I had no idea who the artist was, or if there was more art like this. At the time, it blew my mind to see one of my favorite lady video game characters in the nude! I don't think I really thought of it as "furry" art (again, I'm not sure if I was familiar with the style yet), I just thought of it as sexy art of a character who happened to be an anthropomorphic animal.
While I probably saw other furry art as well, the one piece of media that really stands out in my mind is High Tail Hall. Those of you on here of a certain age will probably remember finding this game on Newgrounds. For the uninitiated, it's sort of a dating sim/ sex game. It was one of the earliest games of that genre, and it really blew my mind! I'd never seen something like that before. And the art style (anthros) was very new and different to me too.
All that being said, it was actually thanks to Shinragod that I ended up on this site! I re-discovered his art years later and commissioned some Crash art from him. It was amazing to finally chat with an artist whose work I had known for so long! He encouraged me to join FA and, well, here I am!
For those few of you who are reading this journal, how did you first find out about anthro art? What inspired you to join FA? I'd love to hear your stories! :)
