Why the Overgrowth Sessions?
This is about Snivy Week which you might not know about if ya don't follow me on Twitter so heads up.
Figured I'd offer up a quick explanation as to why I fell off on the sketches and started doin the Overgrowth stuffs. It was probably pretty obvious pretty quickly into Snivy Week that my drawin mood sorta dropped, but it wasn't outta loss of interest, y'all really hit it with some of these requests! Nah, basically what happened is I was tryin to draw some non-Snivy Week arts, testin out some new stuff, but the sketches of that drawin kept endin up pretty off from what I was tryin to do and it kicked me into an art funk. It was the first time in a long time I got hit with that bug of tryin to live up to your own art, since I'm sharin it with folks and all that. There's this sorta need to match up to or out-do your last drawin every time ya draw for an audience and learnin to kick that feelin is a pretty normal step for bein any sorta artist at all, but sometimes it tries to move back in and ya gotta evict it again. That was compounded with this was this sorta sense of "Oh I wanna draw this thing but I should be workin on Snivy Week art instead!" and when you're someone like me that basically works with motivation fueled by random inspirational sparks it kinda hurt my overall drawin flow so I'd draw less. With all this in mind I realized I'd need to do somethin about Snivy Week since I didn't wanna disappoint folks plus, like I said earlier, some of y'all got requests that make my neurons fire-off like miniguns and I really wanna draw em! So I figured this more drip-fed approach would help to get things back on track. I get to draw things other than Snivy Week requests, and I still get to pump out more grass snakes! This ain't meant to be a "pity me" sorta thing by the by, more just a general explanation because I like transparency. Don't worry about me and my art or nothin, drawin snags hit all the time it's just a matter of workin through em! Also in my downtime I've been playin a disgustin amount of Fallout 4 with the Vore and Vulpine mods installed and it's givin me ideas so maybe expect that in the future if I ever learn to draw snouts.

For my part, I understand you, the same thing usually happens to me, I have that state, of having to equal or surpass my latest art, that causes a state of stress and thinking "I'm going to disappoint them or I'm delaying with the drawings", I'm from that class that works with great doses of inspiration or when the next drawing occurs to me on the spot, even doing random sketches. So don't worry, you'll always have people to support you.

Yeah, sometimes when you have an urge and you gotta follow it, previous commitments and promises can hold you back. That's why I don't hold myself to the FCFS attitude, I've just been lucky to be able to deliver upon that overall. You take it in stride and work on the pics you like the most!
