Gay Rights under massive Threat
I have just learned of some very alarming news that I believe need to shared. Not for the sake of spreading fear, even though what I have to tell you is extremely concerning, but people need to know, they just need to know, what is happening, what is going on so they have a chance to prepare themselves and act accordingly.
so with that out of the way, what is so alarming?
Clarence Thomas is one of the those extremely conservatives judges on the Supreme Court who helped turn over Roe vs. Wade (though he isn't the only extremely conservative judge on the Supreme Court) and I have just learned through a very reputable source that He has recently said something that is extremely alarming:
Clarence Thomas has recently said that he intends to revisit Lawrence v Texas.
What is "Lawrence v Texas"? I hear you ask?
Lawrence v Texas makes it legal for you to be gay.
not gay marry.
just to be gay.
Lawrence v Texas makes it legal for you to be gay and prevents a state from prosecuting you for being gay.
Furthermore, the Attorney General of Texas has said that he is willing to prosecute people for being gay.
My source is Telltale, a youtube who specializes in cults and religious extremism on account of him being a former jehova's witness. Human Rights are very important to Telltale so I have no doubt that what he said is true.
if Lawrence v Texas is revisited and Overturned, which is what Clarence Thomas intends to do, States like Texas would be able to prosecute, punish and imprison people for being gay... and the Attorney General of Texas already declared that he is willing to do that.
Texas is also home to congregations of the NIFB who are a religious extremist hate group who have publicly demanded that homosexuality should be punished with the death penalty.

There will sadly always be hate groups, everything has supporters and haters no matter what, but its interesting to think something would pass that takes away a Gay/Homosexuals right to live.
Justice Thomas actually named Lawrence V. Texas in his closing statements on Roe V. Wade of Substanative Rights he would like to review along with some other cases that hold up various other rights.
"Texas is also home to congregations of the NIFB who are a religious extremist hate group who have publicly demanded that homosexuality should be punished with the death penalty."
Idiots. Hate groups should be punished with the dealth penalty, more like. If I met these people, I'd tell them to all go fuck themselves with the hottest poker than they find.
so far, all the NIFB has done is talk
the reasonable course of action would be to closely monitor them with law enforcement on account of a high threat potential to cause violence against LGBTQ folks. CPS should also be monitoring the NIFB as the possibility of severe abuse in case one of their children turns out LGBTQ is incredibly high. last but not least, the NIFB's second amendment rights need to be revoked permanently to prevent them from causing harm.
that seems a more reasonable response, especially in a country that prides itself on its freedom.
Either way, this is my first hearing of this group and they already sound like a bunch of idiots. Makes me wish I didn't live in America sometimes.
I highly doubt they will, but if this group got what they wanted, I'd hope history repeats itself and they face the same fate as those Nazis. It's 2022 for fuck's sake, there doesn't need to be homophobia, racism, and all this other bullshit.
Unless I'm missing something somewhere it didn't mean that it was Illegal to simply be Gay.
Absolutely wild to think about. Like some dudes in Texas actually sat down, looked at the law, and were like "shit, this could apply to hetero oral and anal, we need to make sure this 'deviate sexual behavior' stuff only applies to same-sex intercourse".
But yeah never the less it's still stupidly silly that such laws are still in the books. But it's more as a result of lawmaker laziness since why waste time to repeal laws that aren't even bothered with enforcing. It's hilarious what kind of laws there are if you look deep enough.
Looked one up just now.. apparently it's illegal in New Orleans to perform Fortune Telling ( for money ) unless it's related to medical or religious worship
For example, me wanting citiziens to have unfettered accsess to guns should not translate to making my proclivities in the bedroom illegal.
It almost seems you have to pick and choose on what libertarian policies you want, know what i mean?
On top of it, the Republicans have been laying the groundwork for dehumanizing LGBT people in recent history. Labelling them groomers, passing bills banning teachers from even mentioning their same-sex spouse (meanwhile it's 100% fine for straight teachers) and now sowing the seeds of fear with monkey pox by inaccurately labelling it as an STD from the gays so people will think that if kids get it it's because they were sexually assaulted by a gay person.
It doesn't matter how many people support it right now, the endgame is never what extremists open with. Just a few years ago Roe being repealed wasn't even remotely considered by anyone, and just like that they Thanos snapped it once they thought they had the ability to. Most countries that fall to extremism had record-setting progressive sympathies before propaganda and instability drove everything into the ground. See the Weimar Republic and what happened after that.
We have to stay strong, yes, but we can't get complacent or think it could never happen here. That's how QAnon and MAGA types win.
