Why are watermarks a dumb idea? They generally let people know who created the work. If I had put watermarks on my photos, just yesterday I wouldn't have had to chase after a youtuber furry for violating copyright law by including 6 of my photographs without my permission or credit, and in fact even providing incorrect credit.

Unless you mean like, the big annoying ones that are plastered across the whole image and are very intrusive to the enjoyment of the work?

there were only like 10 pieces in color that I had a colorist do. She didn't want to be doxxed so we used a pseudonym. Also I thought adding a watermark would be a good idea because I'd only have the originals? Again, pointless and dumb!

i dont have a problem with watermarks so long as they dont cover the actual art, so long as they arent blocking or obscuring anything their good since they let people know who did it
