I do the same thing, mostly. I also find artists through random searches.

Same here. Looking at other people's favorites, and following some of the artists found therein.

That's the only way of finding artists on this barebones obsolete website.

I generally find them by accident. I'll see something I like on the front page or I'm a search, and sometimes end up following them. Other times a friend will send me a pic, and I'll like the artist's work enough to start watching them. I don't remember how I found you exactly, I think it was through the front page.

I usually find artists through e621. Usually just a tag search of some sort and go through the ones that catch my eye.
For me, FA is not great for finding new artists, no way to curate a front page feed (i.e. no blacklist, no way to remove YCH's or ad submissions) and the tagging system leaves a lot to be desired.

I almost always find new artists to follow by browsing e621. I typically check out the top-rated images of each day, and occasionally skim through a few pages of the most recent uploads. Sometimes I also go searching for specific tags, and will find themed artists that way.

I never, ever browse FA. Nearly 40% of the uploads on this website are advertisements, and that's not even including banner ads and the like. e621 is pure art in the submissions, no "YCH open" or "now streaming".

Some of the ways that I find a lot of the artist that I follow and occasionally commission are through either by raffles that I stumble upon/get tagged in, if the rules of the raffle acquire somebody to be tagged to participate or By one of my friends showing off their own commission and then telling me the name of the artist. There’s been a couple of artists that I found through the ad banner on FA but one of the regular artist that I commission and also develop a friendship with I found them through a fanfiction story series where the author had a lot of the cover arts done by that artist for some chapters and I to also use them for art revolving around my own fanfiction story :3

Well I found you from a banner, I find artist that way, I also find artist by looking at the front page and seeing what stuff's being posted, rarely I go on e621 to find artist, I go there for pose, clothes, and mixing ideas for the next artwork I want

The most artists i actually find via Reddit when someone posts their art on r/furry as they often include a link to a source.

e621 is also a good source here though i tend to always search the same.

I found you actually by seeing one of your pieces in some telegram channels and just typed in your watermark in furaffinity, hoping the name is the same XD

Usually just happen upon them after seeing art i really like anywhere and asking for the artist name. Usually seeing art others have got and going out and following/watch the artist. I found you. Ecause was looking for artists for an art piece and we listed out many artists. You were one of the ones in the lists and I liked your stuff and watched.

Most artists I find on FA by browsing other peoples faves. Sometimes its through a source link on e621. I don't think I've ever found anything I cared for through browse or searching on FA

Generally I check recommended artists from the artists I follow, or I'll check the person who requested art from the artists I follow, OR a pfp will catch my eye and I'll check them out

I scour the bondage category, and I search a few species I'm fond of. I also search galleries and favorites of people whose tastes I appreciate.

You, for example, I found because of your gorgeous cougar that I found while searching that species category.
