Am I the only one who gets pissed off at stuff like this?

I'm a gamer. Surprise surprise, right? I doubt there are many furs who AREN'T gamers.
I have an account on the Steam online game system. Again, not unusual in any way.
When I logged into my Steam account a few minutes ago I found something that IS unusual, however. In my list of games was the demo for "Left 4 Dead 2".
Now, I didn't download this. I absolutely despised the original L4D. In my opinion, mindless shoot-em-ups like that are a huge, shit-stained example of the steady decline of good video games.
L4D, in my opinion, is a blatant attempt by Valve to rope in part of the mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging idiots who play Halo 23 hours a day, and drink beer and beat gays for the last hour. I hate it. I hate games LIKE it, like Team Fortress and Counterstrike. These multiplayer-only, completely braindead blastfests have no storyline at all. They're casual games with more explosions. They're not worth the electrons it takes to pixellate their graphics on my monitor. I would not defile my hard drive with this useless, brainless, overhyped, unimaginative, pathetic, and vomit-inducing shit from developers who have gotten too lazy to craft a REAL game.
Valve is the company responsible for the Half-Life series, one of the most - if not THE most - brilliant examples of awe-inspiring game series ever made. It's a work of art from start to finish. I play through the entire series once a month at least; a frequency usually reserved for watching my favorite movies. Its story is incredible.
But now, Valve has created the biggest sellout-blight game series I've ever played in my life. I don't hate RELIGION this much.
So, to anyone reading this... does this piss you off as much as it does me?

FA+

Whether that fun is from a giant, ridiculous battle, or a well planned intriguing story, it's still fun.
So no, it doesn't piss me off, because I play games for fun.
In fact, I'm usually the DM.
If you don't like generic shooters as you call them, what do YOU like in a game?
PS: User created maps and mods EXTEND replay value of games.
I adore the Command & Conquer games, both the Tiberium series and the Red Alert series. Even C&C: Generals was good. They have STORY to them.
Ground Control, StarCraft, Fallout (all four games), the UFO series (Aftermath, Aftershock, and Afterlight), Freelancer, Evil Genius, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2. Even the original X-COM, my absolute favorite game of all time, had a story you unearthed by in-game research topics.
In short, if a game doesn't have a story campaign, it's not worth the eye strain I get from watching the install bar fill up.
PS also: User-created content and mods are 99% shit, and adding more shit to an already-shitty game doesn't help.
It's ALWAYS nice to play something that is not the same thing every time (IE Doom) and why I help with an RMG. If it wasn't for these things, I probably would have abandoned Doom long ago.
Does Morrowind, Oblivion or Fallout 1/2/3 stroke your fancy storywise?
Maybe it doesn't have a story because it's a fucking MULTIPLAYER GAME.
If something like that pisses you off, you clearly don't get out much.
That'd give us BOTH a first-hand experience of what it's actually like, since I never even played the original.
Oh well, you're just one person. I'd tell you to do better, but that wouldn't be fair now, would it?
I'm saying that they must have been huffing paint thinner to think that making a multiplayer-only game was a good idea. No story = no good, at least in my view.
And the reason they're so successful is because the vast majority of people today are mouth-breathing retards.
