As a more general thing, the shared "furryverse" fictional city that my characters (along with my husband's) live in is "Sapphire". Meant to be a modestly sized midwestern type city of 100k population or so and near some kind of large lake. It's inadvertently wound up with a higher concentration of very large to hyper-endowed citizens over the years, in part because of its laws being much more accommodating to the fact that at certain sizes there's just only so much that some can do about how their body presents. Nothing like getting cited for public indecency in another city just for existing because your bulge is "inappropriate", but that sort of thing doesn't happen there. That and the city's current mayor being a doberman woman with very large breasts who was a stripper in her younger days has a lot to do with Sapphire's general vibe being much more open towards sexuality, representation, and "unique" bodies and lifestyles being able to present themselves. Plus it has the add on effect that it became sort of an unadvertised tourism selling point to the city, where if you pass through you find yourself getting to see what to normies would be exceptionally different people around, often with body types they've never seen in person.

I like that a lot, and it's really neat. It's like old-school San Francisco. It's interesting to think that rather than gay ghettos you have a hyper ghetto, but in a world with such people I can see how that would be a thing.
I'd love to hear more: more about the world in general, or more about any and all of your characters, whoever you feel like talking about. It's all very interesting to me and if I could, I'd want to spend hours going over all your characters, listening to the stories and thoughts you have on them, everything. All of that is honestly really interesting to me.

Yeah it's like, we still don't tend to think of hyper-sized characters to be so common that you see them all the time, since to Vicky and me that makes them a little more boring if it's too common. It's more like they're probably 1% of the nation's population overall, but then in Sapphire it's centralized a lot of them so the city's pop is maybe like 10% hyper or something like that. Overall the city's meant to be like a much smaller scale Chicago or maybe Milwaukee, with a centralized city area with some bigger business buildings and apartments and the usual mid-sized city amenities, and then spreading out from there with the usual suburbs and the like. Not ghetto-y per se but not perfect either, though obviously since it's our more idealized fictional city with a generally lower crime rate and more fiscal/socially progressive values. But like you said, kind of becomes part of the reason tourists would come to absorb that particular culture and vibe the city has for it, and of course the "sightseeing" opportunities.

Thanks for letting me ramble, I think we're both the type that live that meme of "OC lore I post" and it's a pamphlet and "lore I never write down" and it's the giant tome. It's always fun to do those personal thought exercises about trying to figure out the logistics and setting of your OCs and how their average lives might work, along with expanding on individual backstories along the way for the different characters and figuring out how they all fit together.

You've definitely given a lot of thought to this part of your world especially, and I love the realism and the way you think about combining hyper into more than just kink, how it would affect life in general.

Jessica Greenwood - a superheroine who goes by Groundhog Girl. And she goes by that name because her power is that whenever she dies, she comes back to life at the start of that day. Over the "years" she's started to enjoy the pain, and it only gets worse when she does things like kill herself through autoerotic asphyxiation while masturbating with no consequences. She uses her powers to cheat on tests too by looking at the test and then killing herself so she knows all the questions on the next try. But it's hard to make friends since she has to relive conversations again and again and just gets sick of it. She's not a trained fighter or anything, so she just has to take the brute force approach to taking down bad guys. Just memorize their moves and keep trying until she gets it right!

I was thinking of a gamer angle for her when she gets more experience. GG for Groundhog Girl could also be for Gamer Girl or Good Game or whatever. Still working on the villains, but a livestreamer/gooner type would be a good match for her.

That is a super neat concept, actually, and it's a lot different from what I've seen in a lot of death/rebirth heroes. I love the idea that she comes back at the start of the day: it gives her a vulnerability if any bad guy were to ever figure that out. That's really really neat. Thanks for sharin' it!
