Funding for Possible Court Case Contesting Will
3 years ago
Back in January, my father passed away due to illness, and my brother and I were supposed to receive his share of the inheritance left to him and his brothers by our grandmother, who herself passed away early last December. However, our father's then-girlfriend is attempting to claim all of his possessions, including his share of that inheritance, with a will that we believe is fraudulent. The will has no witness, no full signature, was not notarized, was hand-written on a piece of note paper, and is dated three days prior to his death.
According to the ex-girlfriend, all previous wills he had were disposed of, but she did not say who disposed of them. Our father was terribly bedridden at the time the will was written - he was too weak to change his sheets - and would not have been able to destroy any previous wills himself.
In the days leading up to our father's death, his then-girlfriend made a point of not allowing his own brothers to see him. We ourselves only learned he was sick the day before he died.
We may need to contest the will in court, and are aiming for a goal of at least $30,000, possibly up to $50,000, to cover court costs, based on estimates we were given. The money will only be used to cover court costs. If the matter is settled out of court or we otherwise do not need the money to cover court costs, it will be returned promptly to our generous donors. If any money is left over, we will return it distributed evenly among our donors.
Thank you to all who read this and decide to donate to our cause.

Best of luck to you!
I certainly hope you're right. She's trying to get the will verified. It'll be great if the will is shot down by the court themselves and we don't have to contest it, thereby allowing us to refund our benefactors.
Thank you for the luck.
