A Nintendo Fan No Longer
I am absolutely disgusted. Nintendo just lost my money and what was left of my respect. I refuse to buy any more of their games with "summon and fight" mechanics in them. I refuse to support them any longer. The first parties are all officially dead to me now.

So your not a Nintendo fan anymore because of what they did and because of the Switch 2 price?

I'd be pissed too.

Same.

The pricing, the glorified digital keys, the not-fixes to their games, the Pocketpal lawsuit, their aggressive use of patents to try and monopolize the market...it's far too much. This is not the Nintendo I grew up with in the 90s.

I guess Nintendo was never the same to you and Nintendo has updated the user agreement for the Switch 2 and they will brick people's consoles anytime.

$400 for a console that could become useless any day. -_- Gonna be a long time before I buy any more Nintendo junk.

That could be a while if you asked me. Because of the worldwide tariffs thanks to to Trump, their products prices will increase in the future and perhaps next year due to that in the gaming market. Same goes to Microsoft and PlayStation. They are doing the same with their products too. They are trying to avoid a huge risk on losing a longtime consumers from 2013 to 2017.

Eh, this isn't just due to tariffs. Tariffs didn't stop Silksong from being priced at $20. And tariffs didn't make Nintendo announce DLC for a game that isn't even out yet. This is just shameless greed on the corporations' part. They keep raising the prices, soon nobody will be able to buy their junk. We got bills to pay.

Yes that is correct, tell me. Do you think the world is not going to be how it was suppose to be because of trump and corporate greed for raising the price like housing and products?

I'm not getting into politics here. You have plenty of other places you can post Trump hate; please take it elsewhere. My point here is that corporate greed has ruined Nintendo, and I am no longer supporting Nintendo because of it.

Not really into politics or spreading hate here. Sorry for bringing that up to you. I'm saying that Nintendo was never the same anymore on how they used to be and operate their products. I think Nintendo rarely doing this just for increase their game development cost. Some people started to hate on Nintendo now.

We've seen Nintendo's greed coming for years now; the removal of the Virtual Console and the implementation of the NSO subscriptions were already signs of how degenerate Nintendo was becoming. All this happened after Furukawa from accounting took over as the new CEO. He's the one I blame for this, though in truth the entire Board of Directors is probably to blame. I can't help but think Iwata was keeping their greed reigned in, and now that he's gone, they wasted no time appointing one of their own to the big chair.

It seems like they explain the reason why. https://mynintendonews.com/2025/09/.....profit-issues/
