Yea something like that but its still dangerously close to doing what Adobe did. Lifetime licenses is spose to mean Lifetime.

I went on to deeper length with other artists who were gun shy about the news which ment if you exclusively use a portable tablet and use a monthly plan then nothing really changes if you already have a perpetual 1.x license

But if you exclusively use a desktop then they expect you to pay for a monthly plan for new features while you can still use the current and base 2.x model you can upgrade your perpetual license with each new iteration but you still can use the version you currently use just the brand new features will be paywalled which is understandable from the developer perspective they need to be paid for their work.

Alternatively you can still use the perpetual license nothing would restrict you just the top of the line new features would be behind a monthly or annual subscription. And nothing is stopping you from using the current version just if you like a feature they come out with and want it then you can pay for it. Either way, you can wait till the next version from 2.x to 3.x comes out and pay for a 3.x perpetual license and get all those features that were behind the 2.x paywall.

Then again I use both a tablet and a Desktop to draw so I can afford that monthly sub and void having to wait for the 3.x perpetual all together.
