Lately, I have kind of fell out of the furry scene.
It has been my experience that making friends in this community is very hard. People don't tend to want to open up to new people and become friends.

I concur completely. I've been wanting to make more friends recently however it's been so very difficult. I've been out of the scene for so long I have no idea where to begin.
