Okay so those of you who've seen my car and its recent state know I was in an accident a few days ago. Well I thought it was something they could fix but it turns out nope! Nadda! Not gonna happen.... So I'm getting the black book value for my car, which comes out to a pittiful $1870... thats it. I just bought the damn thing in April for $3500 do they are giving me just over half the value of what I paid for it. So here I am thinking insurance will cover the cost of my repairs and I'll be back on the road in no time right? WRONG... Now I'm left without a car and a small handful of cash thats supposed to buy me a new car. Never mind the deductable of $500, so really I'm getting way less than I think, oh and $5 a day for my rental that they gave me just because I'm under 25.... fuck... So I officially have no money, nothing.... I just wanna cry.
Reminds me when someone broke into my car in the UK 3 weeks before my flight. Despite all the stuff in my car who ever broke my back window only stole my spare tire. I had to pay 272 pound sterling to get it fixed, and the insurance company would only cover whatever was over the 200 pound mark. It wasn't worth making a claim.
Also I was kinda miffed when I sold my car too, we bought it for 3300 and after only a year or two its value went waaaay down to 1400. Really sucked. There wasn't even any damage to it as everything had been replaced apart from a couple of dents.

I was also 'not covered' properly at the end of my last car in an accident where it was written off. I left it in some scrapyard towyard in Oshawa because my insurance didn't cover the write off damage and I didn't have the money to buy a new one.
I don't know if you're in an area where car equals better easier (necessary evil) transportation. But if it IS.. i hope you can find a solution to get yourself a new set of wheels soon enough.
