Earlier today I listened to an awesome podcast called "Let's Learn Everything", where every week the three hosts talk about a scientific topic, pose and answer a really interesting question, and then share information about some incredibly varied, miscellaneous topic.
The most recent episode I listened to included as its "misc" topic, fanfiction! Where it began, how it was popularised, and indeed how it rose to greater prominence and regard thanks to the internet. It didn't focus much (or at all really) on furry stuff specifically, but it really got me thinking about how glad I am to have grown up in an age where fanfic is accessible and encouraged.
Some of my first 'serious' furry writing was fanficton based loosely on Stephen King's "Dark Tower" epic (set in a furry version of that same world), and throughout my time as both a hobby writer and in the last few years a full time commission-taking bunny, I've loved the countless opportunities I've had to explore existing worlds and develop classic or underrepresented characters in new ways. Basically, I really kinda love fanfiction, and it's no secret that even now writing stuff featuring characters/the world of Zootopia and My Little Pony are some of my absolute favourite things to work on.
But, I wanna share the love! I wanna know what fanfic topics y'all enjoy reading about, or writing about if you do (and are happy to talk about it, even if it's not posted/shared anywhere).
Like I said, I love writing about Zootopia and My Little Pony, but there are dozens and dozens of other fandoms I've had so much fun working in, from Star Trek to the Cadbury Caramel Bunny adverts to Looney Tunes to Pokemon. Even right now I have whole SERIES worth of ideas in my head for MLP and Zootopia that I wish I had time to write. But, what about you?? What fanfic topics do you love writing or reading about, and if there was one R34/Fanfic topic you'd like to see me write about that I might not have so far, what would it be? :ooo

FA+

But when it comes to pure smut, I love to see sexy stories done of the webcomic Las Lindas, because it has such a varied cast of hot guys and girls! Lots of potential for alternate universe fun too. :3 If you ever did a smutty Las Lindas fanfic, sign me the hell up!!
Perhaps I should change that though! I know Lackadaisy at least in passing, but I'm not familiar with Las Lindas so maybe I'll check it out! (Though, I can't promise fanfic about that as I'm more reluctant to R34 an independent furry artist's work without explicit permission than I am for, say, a major hollywood studio/large media company, haha).
Fair enough! I’ll say that the comic can be rocky, but for art and fanservice and some characters it has only gotten stronger over time. As far as I’m aware, the artist is quite open to people doing smutty fan works, though of course stick to what feels right for you. :)
The comics are already so inclusive and sex-positive, it was only a matter of time.
It's a big... hippy, I guess? Was written in the 70s, after all...
But it's got so many wonderful relationships... poly ones, all manner of queer ones, it's all good, all equally valid.
I also like ones that aren't done a lot, like Dinosaucers, Dinosaur Train, Angelina Ballerina, Dog City, and Krypto the superdog.
Honestly there’s not much to keep up with 😭😭 I really just love the Archie->IDW Comics and I really recommend them (although maybe just IDW, the Archie line is like, rough, until #160 which is when writers swapped).
And Wings of Fire is just a really really fun YA series with dragons with large themes of Found Family, also a couple love triangles. i have written sinful fic works of it 😭
But adding in an adult and sexual analysis on that world is just yum. If I weren’t so obsessed with animatronics, and had more desposible income Ied love to try and get those stories written
