Summer’s Day
General
The sunlight looms over us as Summer flames roar.
The waves, now shown and waving through the humid air,
as each compressed the gust into a pressure that we bore.
May both its day and night bring us a pleasure and despair.
Now, screams and laughter plague the streets of June to August days,
as children zoom and run through it – the sun-kissed street,
and parents, now, relaxing on their porches, started crafting pousse-cafés.
“Come, start the grill and get the cooler for a bite to eat!”
The Summer skies go blue beginning out in May.
The swarms of bees that plop on flowers -
colours ranging pink to gold.
Now, families make their way to crystal blue bays,
passing time in joyous, lost hours,
their elation letting fun unfold.
