Cult of the Lamb was fairly popular. I think it's already kind of passed out of vogue, but you might do something with that. Otherwise, there's a new pokemon game coming out, and Hisuian forms for old ones (I see Zorua and Sneasel around a bit).

If nothing else, there's always the classics. Krystal, Renamon... You know.

In my opinion, it's better to avoid fads. As soon as you jump on the bandwagon, it's already about to reach the dead end. Better stick to just moderately popular or straight up obscure stuff that you genuinely like, as well as stuff that's timeless.

tbh, you right, seeing timelines going around and people hoping on and off quite quickly are hard to keep up. and to be honest they're some gems that do come up..

I am not to often onto the trends but just go with what seems fun to me. I like checking out both new and old things the same, really. Selfdiscovery in terms of wht brings you joy can be entertaining. I hope to do a lot of brainstorming on various things and writing lists on various subjects for myself. Perhaps that's something that you might enjoy to get inspired. Browsing your memories and reminding yourself of certain tropes, characters and concepts that gave you a chuckle before. =3
