So would you consider it rude if an artist doesn't credit you in a commission you payed for? Like, it's one thing if you ask to remain anonymous, but you don't. And it's not like the artist hasn't credited a buyer before, they just choose not to do it for you for some reason. Is that a sign that they just don't like you, or am I over thinking things?

I suppose it could matter if your character is in the work. It can matter to establish they characters belong to a specific person maybe.

i'd say if tagging clients isn't a regular thing for them you can ask them to tag you when they post the finished pic.
