Ay I say you should definitely go for it! I’d suggest voice acting some of you own art with dialogue in it to start off with!

I've been a part-time Va for a bit now, I think if you have any questions just note me and I'll help out.

I’m down to learn how as well

First, (as always) is get a good mic! Higher quality means better chance of getting hired!
Second, get proper noise cancellation! No one likes echoes unless that's what you're going for!
Third is have Variety!~ Make sure you can do deep voices and soft voices along with higher head space voices.
Fourth, is Practice! The head voice and body/chest voice is a thing look it up!
Fifth, Do some demo tapes! Try finding projects on twitter or on Fa who need voice acting!
Sixth, is Have fun! At the end of the day its all about you. Take breaks and take care of your voice.

That feels a bit much considering I am on a budget and live in a tiny duplex. But I guess I can try voice acting in my car. Not much noise there and there is no one around.

It can get pretty expensive, but im sure you can find cheap and easy ways to muffle sounds and improve the quality of the existing mic!
Look up tutorials on how to boost quality and reduce echoes. Even some wikihow articles might help!
