Hey guys. Time for another one of my updates to cover why I haven’t posted much. This year has been quite tough on me and my family. You guys already know that my dad passed away back in March. We got through that, but since then, we’ve had to hire a lawyer because my dad’s life insurance provider is fighting us tooth and nail about paying out. We don’t even care about the money. One of my dad’s dying wishes was to be able to leave me and my sisters some small amount of money because his parents couldn’t do that for him. In my eyes, this is about honoring his wishes.

Besides that, my grandparents were robbed by one of their caretakers. She stole their credit cards along with $7000 in cash. We have her name and face, but we’re still trying to get surveillance video from the places she used the cards that day. We have a police report now, so that should help. I know everyone says this about their grandparents, but my grandparents are two of the kindest, most good hearted people I know, and the fact that someone who was supposed to be helping take care of them robbed them… I just can’t wrap my head around why anyone would want to do that to them. I really hope we nail this lady, because knowing that my grandparents have actually been losing sleep because they don’t feel safe in their own home because of this person infuriates me. It’s beyond cruel to put two elderly people, both in their 90s, through this. It’s wrong, and I want to see this lady put in jail for what she did. I’m sorry if I don’t sound like myself, but I really can’t stand knowing that this lady is still out there right now.

Not everything has been bad, though. I’m September 28th, my sister gave birth to healthy baby boy. :) That’s right, I’m an uncle! His name is Oliver, and so far, he’s both strong and healthy. :) I won’t lie, I am pretty nervous about being an uncle, but I know that I’ll be okay, and that I’ll do everything to be there for him. But is anyone has any tips about being a first time uncle, I’d gladly appreciate all the help I can get XD.
