I agree! SpaceX and Tesla are some of the most important and influential companies in the world. Haters will of course claim that he had nothing to do with their success (while also claiming that he's somehow responsible for every failure)

Most of the people I know on Twitter are in one of two camps:

1. Abandon ship immediately before the effects of the acquisition are felt, treating this as a privacy breach that requires deleting your data (and therefore your account) for your own safety.
2. Be as weird as possible on Twitter to make the shithead have even more regret about what he bought.

Whichever of those you plan on doing, it's worth having a backup plan for staying in touch with everyone. For some folks, FA might be a reasonable alternative, but I've also seen people sharing their info for Discord, Telegram, or other social media platforms.

The ladder has kind of been my goal to be honest, hence why I've been trying to figure out what my best fallback options are, which so far seem to be discord. that being said, I definitely understand people being concerned about their data being used against them because... yeah, companies be spying in ways that we haven't really unpacked yet.

from what I understand, musk ain't particularly coming out of this unscathed, there's a reason he tried pulling out of this deal very early on because he's essentially tying himself to a dead weight of a company that's been a dead weight for over a decade.

that being said, I still want to cover my bases because there was genuine use to that site and especially now I feel more inclined than ever to spread warning of the upcoming authoritarian BS that's been spreading due to recent anti-LGBT bullshit. Just yesterday Florida completely banned trans youth from Access to hrt and to this day, they're still a ton of dumbass politicians who are using an asinine conspiracy theory of litter boxes in schools to justify "banning furries" from high schools which is unenforceable outside of just introducing a bunch of draconian excuses to bully specific students for showing too much "furriness". we are not in good times right now.
