No Halloween Anthology This Year!

I wanted to make a journal entry for those who don't follow me on Twitter, or who missed the announcement last October.
I will not be releasing a Halloween Spook'em 8 this year!
I've always loved working on the anthologies, but I was in a really bad place when I released the last two, and so I decided it wouldn't hurt to take a bit of a break.
I don't know for sure if that means the next one will come out next year, or the year after, or ever. Like I said, I do love making them! I love streaming scary movies, I love drawing the kind of stuff that goes into them, most of all I love being able to release comics that people don't have to pay for... The Halloween Spook'ems have always been more for me than anyone else, so this time of year just doesn't feel the same without working on a new one!
Still, after 7 years I felt I needed a break. I'm sorry if this news upsets or disappoints anyone. I am in a much better place now than I've ever been, so hopefully that means that the Spook'ems will return!
In the meantime, this Halloween you can still go back and read through the previous seven years worth of comics. There's some good stuff in there! I'm still quite proud of a lot of it! They're all on my website, and while you're there check out the Archive from the sidebar! A lot of good stuff there, too!

I'm glad you're able to recognize when you need a break from something, even when it's something you enjoy. Not being able to see that can lead to burnout, and fast!
You're certainly under no obligation to do anything, especially when it's a free thing like that, of course.

And yeah, people who have and have NOT read the past seven should absolutely go back and check them all out. :>
