Second person in 2 days reporting their Discord accounts being hacked. Must be some sort of password attack going on.

Same thing happened to me on Saturday. I have still yet to hear anything from discord other than “buT dID yoU cHangE youR EmaIL?”
And that’s it.

But what if they tell me they wanna go out with me? Having a hot piece of ass like Seth would be pretty tempting.

Might have to change around your passwords if you had some saved in your computer browsers to be safe it gives access to em too.

Since you mentioned it, no one should EVER respond to DMs of people asking you to test games because this is an extremely common way for hackers/scammers to get you to install malware on your PC.

It doesn't prevent the Discord Stealer malware that is used. The malware modifies the local cache of the Discord client and grabs the auth token to use, as well as installing other packages to grab stuff like browser credentials and things. Since it can just grab any new token, changing the password or having 2FA doesn't prevent it from just getting the new token.

Uninstalling Discord doesn't clear the local cache, so it's still infected when it's reinstalled. Discord needs to be uninstalled, then the local cache cleared, then reinstalled.

There is usually a human being doing the message for the new infection, and they have full access to the account and history that they've stolen to message you with the infection file. Once the file is run, it takes seconds to be done.
