Same here. But it's sad that they've leaked early. I don't like leakers/insiders tbh, they ruin the surprise something may offer.

I can only speak for myself and my friends but the majority of my friend group were weary of buying V/S until the starter evos were revealed. A number of the playerbase was rather miffed at gamefreak in regards to inceniroar and the apparent implication of ANOTHER fire/fighting starter.

How Game Freak is doing things with reveals is both concerning and nonsensical. If you have nothing bad to hide, why not do weekly pokemon news reveals as need for speed does?

Agreed in every way. While I agree with you that leakers are not ideal, the fact we have to rely on them to even know if gamefreak is doing good or stupid shit is an indication of how much they either despise the community or fear it.

Reminds me a lot of Atari and Reflections during Driv3r's development. There were barely any reveals and trailers because they had an unfinished mess of a game on their hands. They only gave review copies to gaming magazines if they gave the game a nonsensical 9/10 score or higher. I could see that happening to Scarlet and Violet.

SV could be worse, especially with all the performance issues being reported by those who got an early look at the game.
