31 laps around the sun!

Well, my birthday snuck up on me super quick! I was busy all day, so didn’t have a chance to make a post until now.
This year has been a roller coaster ride for sure. Lots of ups and downs and loops that make me feel all disoriented. This year, especially June through now felt like it went by fast, but also slow at the same time.
I got my commercial and instructor licenses for helicopters, started working at the school I learned from the ground up in, now I'm trying to formulate a better lesson plan format n' stuff for myself and keep track of students to help them progress. Downside being the pay is not the best, I'm only guaranteed work on the weekends, my next day plans can be changed with a simple text saying, "You're scheduled tomorrow at 11:00 am." At 6 pm, and if I get scheduled on weekdays, I usually end up commuting for twice to three times the time it took for the time I instructed. I still enjoy flying and passing on my knowledge though; Just not how things are run there. Can't wait for the summer season when I can get back to Park Rangering again!
My objectives for the end of the year is to at least get my IFR written exam out of the way, and maybe find a place either during the summer, or after the summer to either complete or continue my IFR flight trainings. Maybe even find a school that I'd enjoy more because frankly, I'm finding that NYC is awesome, but it doesn't have what I'm looking for. Its feeling like the time to leave the nest is very much here. If I can get my permanent ranger position, it'll be a big help in achieving that goal!
Because of how crazy my above mentioned work schedule, I haven't had the time/energy to do art. I'm usually too mentally burnt out, or only have the time to make dinner, bathe, check the following day's weather, then hit the bed to wake up at 5:00 am to repeat the process again for who knows how many days straight (because traffic ended up with me returning home at 8:00-9:00pm). The days I'd like to take off always happen to be the days when basically all the other instructors are off. I have been proactively trying to schedule mental days off, but they're so hard to squeeze in because of how short staffed we are. I'm also prioritizing lesson planning and studying for IFR stuff as well.
I'm hoping to be able to get a little more art done in the near future. Extra income is much needed, but I can't promise timely commissions due to this unpredictable schedule. I'm thankful that I have wonderful parents that are letting me stay until I can fully support myself. This really helped with taking a lot of the mental strain off.
Anyway, thanks for reading this special edition of Bunneh Life Updates! Here's to another lap and clear skies down the road!
