On Rekindling A Hobby
Six years, some months and one college degree since I was last visibly active here, and though I don't feel as well about art as I want to feel right now, I feel much better than I did before.
I don't foresee myself taking commissions again. I'd rather not make a livelihood or even a side hustle of my hobby. Instead, I'd like to get better at illustrating on a regular basis, and learn to enjoy the process over agonizing over results.
In the meantime, if anyone has advice on or stories about recovering from burnout, relearning a skill or reentering a hobby they'd like to share, I'd be glad to hear them!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure!

I'd been thinking about you over the past year and wondering whether you were doing well and what you've been up to. (It helped that there was a golden, glowing, magical dog introduced in FF14: Endwalker and literally my first thought when seeing it was, "Arofa, is that you?") Your MLP comic was one of the best I'd seen among all the comics that spawned from the fandom, and I'd always hoped to see you tackle other projects. It's good to see you back on FA.
Unfortunately I don't have any advice, but take your time figuring out what you want out of drawing I suppose? Really glad you're feeling at least a bit better, and am looking forward to anything you end up making
