He's still gutting the staff from what I hear, trolling them to the point that they're quitting so that he doesn't have to pay them their severance packages. fuckin' ruthless, lol
When there's that much money into a domain name, there's so many mercenary webdevs to be picked up that any downtime is quite likely to be short. They open sourced the (well, considering how the site behaved immediately changed drastically, "one of the" would be more accurate) content aggregation algorithms a couple months back, everything else is just ho-hum UI stuff...
All of which is to say;
'don't worry, tomorrow will be just as much of a dreadful corporatist hellscape as yesterday was, such things don't ever change much'

Yeah that free speech over at Twitter is really upsetting a lot of people, that and normal business practices when a take over occurs is making a lot of people very hopeful for failure. Lol. I wonder why free speech and a diversity of ideas, along with actually having to do work at a job causes so many people to want Twitter to fail. *shrugs*
